Initial high hCG but not doubling

Forgive me in advance, I'm not totally hip to the abbreviations.  I am 34.  TTC 2 years.  Had a blighted ovum with first husband in 2003.  All my labs ultrasounds have been normal with this, our first, IVF cycle, DH has 3X sperm defect.  This cycle we implanted 2 5d blasts, froze 3. I had a BFP HPT at 6,7, 8, and 10d Post Tansfer.  My hCG at 11d pt was 547.  We were extatic.  We felt like that was really high and therefore good.  Today, 3 days later it was 1073.  I've read everything that I can find and know my hCG is slow to double (96% in 3 days) and although possibly ok, it would be better if it had been higher.  Most of what I have found seems to indicate the intial 547 was good, but the lack of doubling has me second guessing everything.  Thoughts?  Thanks, Mandy

You may just be a 3 day doubler, I have heard some people do that and everything is fine.  I had no symptoms with this pregnancy.  I didnt even believe I was because I had no symptoms.  My boobs havent been sore at all!  (im 22w5d) At around 6 or 7 weeks I had a lot of morning sickness, fatigue, and cramping but thats it. Try to rememeber every pregnancy is different and symptoms(when you have them) come and go.  Good luck to you.

To come back in 2 days to see if it is at least 66%.  Just what you said.  With there being almost exactly 72 hours in between draws, there is not hard data on a 3 day wait.  I'll go tomorrow and see.  They aren't as concerned as I am...  I guess if I felt more pregnant I wouldn't be worried, but aside from a little cramping here and there, I feel very little.  I know every pregnancy is different, but even w/ the blighted ovum my boobs hurt.  Now they don't feel like much, but they aren't that totally deflated feeling either.

I think a couple hours' difference in the times you took the test on the two days (may even minutes) could make a difference in your hcg.  You're SO close to doubling!  My doctor was only looking for 66% in two days (not doubling), and I read online somewhere that 66% in two days is what to look for.  What did your RE say?

Thank you for the positive thought.  Yes, another HCG Wednesday.  I know doubling in 72 hours is within the range,  I'm brushing the edge of falling out of that range, especially for only being in my 4th week.  It seems to me all the most positive outcomes are doubling in 48.  Anyone ever been here and it all turned out ok?  Thanks.  I'm trying not to be negative.
