Can you get put on injectables without doing IUI or IVF? To help you have more follicles and have sex at home with out the iui and ivf.

I am also doing timed intercourse but I get started on 75iu of injects and have u/s done about every other day to check on stimulation. I got slightly over stimulated and now I have 3 giant cysts due to it. Needless to say our first timed intercourse didnt work so I am hoping for the best this month.
i'm doing injectables with timed intercourse and only on 25iu of puregon so i don't over stimulate, good luck it can be done.
I think she was saying that she wants to do the injectibles AND monitoring and just do timed intercourse. Nowhere in her post did it say she was going off on her own with no monitoring. I am sure she is smart enough to know better than that! In fact it would be better for her to NOT do IUI if she had MANY follicles. This would lessen the risk of high order multiples.
As I said before, it is perfectly fine to do injectibles and not do IVF or even IUI. Timed intercourse (if DH has no problems with sperm) is a very reasonable starting point. In fact, if he has good sperm counts, you should get the same result from timed intercourse as you may with IUI. Good luck sweetheart! Ask questions anytime!!

It would be a huge risk, as you may grow many follicles, therefore increase the risk of high order multiples. I had a cancelled cycle, as I created eight mature follies, plus smaller ones, even though I was only on 75iu of puregon, which is considered very mild stimulation. When using fertility drugs, you need to be closely monitored by blood tests and ultrasounds, every few days, and even then nothing can be guaranteed. Multiples can still occur, and in high order, you run the risk of miscarriage, premature birth and/or defects.

Yep - did it a few times. The first time we did injectibles I got pregnant from timed intercourse but we m/c. Now we have moved onto IUI. IUI possibly ups the chances (though it isn't really proven, each case is different). So, yep, try the shots and do some timed intercourse and if it doesn't work you can move onto IUI. Good luck!
