HELP! Upset by FSH and AMH test results today

Hi all you beautiful ladies!!

I have been blessed with a gorgeous 3yr old son, and beautiful 16mth old daughter, but am trying for my third child, to round off the family.  I had a cancelled IUI in June, as I over-responded to the drugs, and created too many follicles.  Then I had two failed IUIs, but had OK estradiol readings and follies during these cycles.  Anyway, I had my AMH and FSH test done and got the results today - no figure for the AMH, the RE just told me I am in the **AMBER** zone.  It's somewhere between GREEN (good follicle reserve - meaning pregnancy should occur within 12 months) and RED (menopausal)!!!  Also, my FSH has shot up to 10.1 - it was only 8.6 seven months ago!!  I'm pretty upset and am thinking to do my first ever IVF in December.  The RE wasn't much help in helping me decide, just told me to think it over, but that if I decide to go ahead with either IUI or IVF, I have to do it NOW!!  As in early December.  I guess he's meaning time is fast running out for me.  Another thing, I turned 37 in June, but he told me that my reproductive system is like that of a 40 year old, so he said my chances of actually getting a baby out of IVF is only 25%  I can only afford one round of IVF, so I'm just feeling a bit down about it, as I had expected a third baby would be pretty easy to conceive.  Can anyone give me any advice, or from their own experiences, let me know if you've been successful with IVF with my stats??

Oh Laura, you're always such a comfort!!!!

Doctors love to alarm us, don't they??  And they love all their scary figures and 'zones'!!!  I wonder about all these FSH figures and all...  All I can say is that I've had two failed IUIs.  Really strange.  My first IUI, I seemed to ovulate a day before the IUI, and my second one, I know I ovulated a day after my IUI - so they were both useless.  At least my RE has acknowledged this, and reckons it is probably true, so my follies are doing some funny things.....  So ironic, I'm always being told I don't look anywhere near 37, but now I feel like I'm menopausal!!!!  All because of these results.  Anyway, I'm going for IVF - I feel my FSH has deteriorated so quickly, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!!  You're right though, it's in God's hands - if he wants me to be a happy mama of three, then it'll happen, if he doesn't then I'll still be a proud happy mama of my darlings!!!

Oh hun, DO NOT let your RE make you feel like your in a "CODE RED" really, because you are not!  Take a little time to decide about the IVF, but my gut is telling me you have time;)

ps funny cuz, my old RE told me that my reproductive organs & my resting follies are that of a 33 year old;)  (& I'm 40, YIKES;) but I STILL haven't gotten pg!!! Grrrrrrr
Remember that it's all in Gods time, not ours, even though it's very hard for us to understand this;)
