withdrawal bleeding on birt control

I know when you're on birth control, and you take your placebo pills you get withdrawal bleeding, not a true period. If you were pregnant would you still get the withdrawal bleediing at the same exact time each month? I have been on the pill for 2 years. I got my withdrawal bleeding right on schedule. I have taken 3 home pregnany tests, two on the day I started my withdrawal bleeding, and then another one 8 days later, both were negative. could i still be pregnant?

I don't think that you would need to worry about being pregnant if you are on bc...but there is another forum that might be better suited for you than an infertility/fertility one...

Good luck!!

What is it that makes you think you're pregnant if you're on bc pills?  Did you skip any?

I know I was on the pill for many, many years and the last year before I stopped I started getting withdrawal bleeding like that, maybe in the middle of the cycle and I just got off of them completely.  I had weight fluctuations and my doc told me that can cause different reactions from the pill.  I couldn't understand why all of a sudden it was causing breakthrough bleeding but it did.

Good luck!!
