Just Wondering!!!

I've been ttc for almost 4 years, in April last year i had a laparoscopy which confirmed i had adhesions on both my tubes, the right was twisted and was blocked, it is now slightly open but my chances are only 5% of conceiving on my own, i'm now on the NHS waiting list for IVF which i've been told i'm to obese for treatment and have to lose 3 stone.  I also have slight endometriosis.

My question is, has anyone on this forum had any of the problems above and still managed to conceive on your own without IUI or IVF?  how long did it take you to conceive? were you taking any vitamins or supplements that could have helped you conceive.

I really don't want the IVF and i'm struggling with losing the weight and have a feeling i'm going to have to go private for the IVF treatment in the next few years if i can't lose the weight.  I would just love to conceive on my own, but the longer i'm trying the more i'm coming to terms with maybe i do need the IVF to conceive

Weight plays a big part in fertility for many people.  I lost 20 pounds and got pregnant with my daughter naturally.  I lost 30 pounds (after going through fertility treatments for 4 years) and the first IUI after losing the weight I got pregnant.

I would suggest losing some weight, especially if your doctor is telling you to.  It is usually recommended for IVF, anyways.  You'll feel better during pregnancy, have a less likely chance of getting gestational diabetes and it will more than likely raise your progesterone to allow you to begin ovulating stronger.

Just my opinions...SSBD!
