sore tummy muscles 5 months after laparotomy for ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

Is it normal to have tummy pain 5 months after a laparotomy.  Its not at the scar its on my tummy.  Tender to touch.

cortachy-  It could be from that.  I would definatly call you dr. though.  It's better to be safe than sorry.

In my case I had 2 ruptured cysts on my ovaries and I also lost a lot of blood where they had to give me a blood transfusion.

i wasnt sure if it had been because it was an emergency after the tube had ruptured and I was 10wks preg and had lost alot of blood.  I was bruised from tummy to the tops of my legs. Thankyou for your help!

I had laparotomy in June and I'm not in any pain.  I would call your dr. about this right away.

You might want to get that checked out.  I don't know how long you should be feeling pain after any surgery.  You don't want to risk infection.
