Cramping for two weeks after an IUI does that mean that the procedure didn't work?

Hi Ladies,

I need some insight please!! Ok so i had my IUI on March 13th and 14th, so this Sunday is going to be two weeks. I will be going in on Sunday the 28th for the blood work to find out if our first IUI worked.  My concern is.....I've been cramping on and off throughout these past two weeks.  I'm getting very depressed thinking that I'm not pregnant and I'm just getting ready for my period.  Does anyone have and insight on this?
Thanks again!!

Hi I had severe cramping for a week and a half after my IUI in Feb.  I did a lot of research during my tww and found that the pain is from the specimen not being spun enough, so when then injected the sperm some semen was still in it, which causes irritation and inflamation in your uterus.  My cramps felt like horrible menstrual cramps I was taking tylenol every four hours!  My IUI was unsuccessful but from everything I have read lots of women have cramps after IUI then BFP!  Don't lose hope!!  good luck sunday I hope you get your BFP!
