Married for 2 years

I've been married for two years now and been trying to get pregnant for about a year now with no luck, *sigh :(. I am not insured and would like to talk to a doctor but a simple pap cost me over a hundred dollars and I'm afraid that seeking help to get pregnant is gonna be outside our budget, my husband says the cost is nothing compared to the reward of course he says because he has a child from a previous relationship, but I'm still hesitant because we just opened a business and I'm still in school for at least another two years; my question is has anyone asked for help with fertility without being insured??? Is it as expensive as I think it might be???

I agree. Though a lot of the fertility treatment is paid for out of pocket and not with insurance, I would strongly recommend you going to get a basic exam (levels checked, tubes checked) to see if there is any issues. The average healthy couple takes up to a year to get pregnant so since it has taken that I would look into a simple exam until you can get some insurance. Good luck!

Hi there - how old are you? have you tried the basic home options such as monitoring the ovulation or temp, i don't have much info around the cost, however, you may need to go to an OBGYN first to know how the hormone levels are, and the tubes ok or not, but i know that these tests do cost a lot, also what your husband is right that what we spend is the worth when we hold the baby. good luck.
