Dear ladies

Ahh! after using medication for a month; i could bring down my thyroid and hence i would start my ICSI IVF cycle from May 2011. :). I will be put on Lupron from May. Sperm has already been collected and slow frozen; so it is just with eggs now. Fingers crossed. will keep you all posted. very happy for now and excited.

good luck to you all. anyone starting in may too?

would there be adverse side effects due to lupron?

hope all goes well for you.
I am too hoping to do my first round of ivf in may was meant to of started two months ago but fsh has been too high im only 26 my levels are like 13 should really be under 10. so hoping my next blood which due around 5th may will be ok to start.
ive been told that each women can react different from the lupron some may feel tired no energy or have headaches everyone is different.
we are using donor sperm we only got few units left now though as iui didnt work for me.

Good luck to you. I was on Lupron for my icsi ivf. Mine was unsuccessful. We are doing a frozen cycle in May. I didn't have any side effects.

I will also be put on Lupron in May and then we will start our second IVF attempt in June.  I'm very excited and hopeful!

this thursday i am going for the ultrasound scan and if there is a polyp in uterus; they will remove it the same day. i hope there is no polyp.

yes there will be many challenges but always good to stay positve and not get over stressed. first cycle you just dont know what to expect but lets hope it all runs smoothly.
im really praying that my fsh levels are lower for me to start my first cycle in may.

yesterday; we met one of my ex colleagues and his wife is pregnat; day before yesterday; my friend said hersister in law is pregnant; heaing those everyday; hurts; just one question that haunts me is "why me?" if somehting can hapen so easily to everyone why not us? why in the hell we got to go through? i know i should not think that way; just some frustration.

you take care; your FSH will definitely lower this time and everything will fall in place; i am going for sonogram on thursday; if they find a polyp they will remove it same day.

you know im that situation aswell my partners cousin is pregnant this is making it 7 girlies i know that are due this year im really happy for them as for all of them part from its their first but yes its frustrating that we have to go through all this one and not knowing if its going to work. doctors were so sure it would work for us as im young and they say nothing is wrong with me its just my partner he has zero sperm but now my levels keep being high every month its annoying, just hope nothing else comes of it.

hopefully my FSH will be lower this month

I had my hysteroscopy done today and the test came out to be positive and they could not find any polyps tere; i would need to track ovulation from day after tomorrow and would need to update them for next steps.

Hello to everyone, I am a regular on this forum but as we are going for a 4th and final ivf in early June thought I'd catch up with you ladies. Most of you I'm sure are younger than me and are on your first ivf's except hopingtobamum, best wishes on your second attempt, I am 41, conceived our son natuarlly  3 years ago and have been trying for a sibling since Alfie was 6 months old. So last year endured 3 rounds of very expensive ivf(i am a poor responder so had to have lots of menopur, the max you are allowed each day)my eggs arent good quality and i dont produce that many, but for 2 month snow I have been taking dhea which is meant to help with egg quality, we shall see come June. My best wishes to all of you starting your treatment in may and support and advice can always be got from us ladies, you've certainly helped me over the last year and a half.melissax

Dear Ladies

a quick update on my next steps! i am supposed to track from ovulation from tomorrow; if i get a positive; i call them and they put me on lupron from then; so this is an official cycle kick off. i am buying clearblue ovulation predictor kits this evening and hope that my body would respond well and yield good eggs for my baby; DH's sperm is already collectedan frozen.

Good luck starting. I just had a question. On my first IVF I was on birthcontrol pills and then Lupron. Is doing the OPK what they do if you don't take the pill? Or are you doing an unmedicated cycle? I hated the pill and wonder if I could just avoid it next time since I usually can catch my OPK.

Ladies,

I'm new to this forum and so happy I found it.  I actually start Lupron on 4/27.  I haven't done and treatments prior to this so I'm have no idea what to expect.  We will be using an egg donor so my schedule is a little different...my donor will start stimming on 5/22 with an estimated retrieval of 6/1-6/4.

I'm looking forward to reading everyone's progress and baby dust to all :)

i never used pill for birthcontrol i know it sounds weird; its been more than a year we are having sex without pill and willing to have baby and it never worked for us; so i am sorry i cant answer your question :(

Dear Ladies

Today is my day 11and LH surge is still negative today; i hope it will be positive tomorrow; so that they will start my lupron from tomorrow.

on a side note; a friend of mine have been avoiding me from few months; and today i got to kow that she is pregnant and so she does not want to let anyoe know it until 5th month so avoiding me; does it make any sense? it made me feel very bad. i wish i will be pregnant soon so that i can also hide it from her :)

hopefully tomorrow, but if you think your ovulating maybe have a blood test done to test your LH when i had mine done they said i did ovulate as my test result showed that my egg would release from that time to next 24hrs. think your LH has to be above a cetain number.

you know what! my LH surge is positive day. yeyeyeyeyeyey! today is day 13. and i saw a smiley this morning. i called the nurse immeidately; they placed order for my medications already; so i am supposed to start lupron from may 4th. :)
