IVF and sedation?

another thing im worried about is i hear you get put under while in procedure of IVF which i will be starting soon, i get anxiety about anestesia and wondering if they can just give me a pain mediceine because i would like to stay awake, i would love to be awake while im hope to be conceiving, has anyone been awake during IVF?

And trust me, I just had retreival last week and I was slightly aware and it hurt, I remember it.  The first time I did it I didn't feel it, but my second round, I remember it.  But during transfer you have no drugs or anything.

You are perfectly awake during embryo transfer.  You will be given anestesia during egg retrieval.  Do not be afraid of it, you will not remember a thing!
