Normal amount of follicles on Femara and Gonal F?

I am currently on Femara and Gonal F and patiently waiting for follicles to get a bit bigger before getting trigger Ovidrel shot and IUI.

I currently have 2 follicles growing and they are at 1.7 today.  I ovulate on my own usually.

How many follicles have you had on similar treatment??  I thought it would be more than 2 but does the fact that I have one more than usual increase my chance with IUI by a lot?

1.7 is in cm and would be 17 in mm, just depends on the which measurement the clinic uses.  Good luck and lots of SSBD!

Hey Kricket,

Yeah, the size of my follies was 1.7 they told me.  I'm in Canada so the units may be different.   Perhaps it would be 17 then??  She did say the they wait until they are 1.8.

I've been taking Femara CD 3-7, then Gonal F CD 6-9, and they actually just called me to say I would be having my first IUI tomorrow AM, so to take Ovidrel shot tonight.

Wow, 3-4 sounds really good. I wonder why I only had 2 follies. Perhaps if it doesn't work out this time, they will increase my dose of meds.  However, I will keep positive and hope for the BFP this time!!!

When doing IUI they try to keep it around 1-4 follies.  What does 1.7 mean? Is that your size of follies? that does not seem normal.  How many days have you been taking the stims???

For my last cycle of IUI I had 3 almost 4 follies & were all around 18-20
