On provera and still bleeding after operation!

I am 37yrs,married, and trying to concieve for 6 yrs. I had a polyp removed last week and the dr placed me on provera 5mg 3 times a day for 21 days.I started taking 12 days before a polyp was removed during an operation. After the operation i just had spotings but now i am bleeding with clottings and its heavier ,and am concerned! Am still on provera. Is this anyway normal?

I had a d&c in october 2010 for a polyp and I bleed 2 weeks why they are giving you provera is beyond me that induces a period so I can see why you are bleeding . I also was prescribed provera for 3 months to try to stop a period well It is sopost to stop then restart a cycle  . If you continue to bleed heavily id call the dr I did get preg 3 months after my D&c but resulted in m/c at almost 12 weeks :(
