Ovulating on clomid?

Girls, was just wondering about ovulating on Clomid, can the predictor kit miss when you actually ovulate?  My period started on Aug 26 but not full flow till Aug 28.  I started Clomid on cd5 thru cd9 which was Sept 1 through Sept 5 - does that mean I should ovulate around Sept 10 or there abouts (roughly around 14 days after start of period)?  I'm a little confused.  If anyone can help, that'd be great.  Thanks so much.

Thanks girls too, sorry, just read your posts also.  Has anyone had pretty bad headaches on clomid?  I am prone to migraines as it is but the headaches on clomid have been nearly every day and all day long, only took 50mg of clomid too.  God only knows what 100mg of clomid would to do me!

Thanks so much for letting me know, OPKs are really expensive over here and I thought I was buying dudds there for a minute.  Will keep trying them, later in the day now I guess and will torment my husband for another week (poor man).  Hope you two have the best of luck with trying and I really appreciate you taking the time to answer me.

On Clomid, I O'd on CD17.  The OPK did pick it up but I also used BBT to confirm it.

OPK's only pick up your lh surge!!!  It doesn't necessarily mean you will O.  (you most likely will but theres a chance you won't.  Also most ppl don't O on cd 14.  I O in between cd 19-21.  It depends on how long your cycle is, if you're on clomid or any other meds....

Most women ovulate afternoon so this can be the case. Im on Clomid and my OPK doesnt always catch my ovulation. Id advise to monitor your BBT also as I found that this gave me a back up confirmation as to when I ovulated. I was on day 1 Aug25th and I was most fertile from Sept 12-14. You are right about when you should ovulate although clomid can make you ov later than usual. I never had much luck getting opk's to work properly. Some women do have a short window when it is positive, so can miss it. The nurse advised me to do mine in the evening, and don't drink fluids or go to the bathroom for 3 hrs beforehand. Good luck!
