Early Testing

When is the soonest you can take a pregnancy test after you ovulate.  I know you are supposed to wait but I just CANT!!!! I ovulated this weekend 25-26.  What do you think.

thanks

P.S. I have a baby shower to attend on sep 8 and I am really hoping and praying I will get a positive.  I feel if I get a negitive it will make going to a baby shower  that much more difficult.

I used FRER and got a positive result and it was confirmed by blood test and at that time my HCG level was 6.   I can't believe it picked it up at such a low level!!! Test early with FRER!!  It takes about a week to get out of tube and then a day or so to implant and a day for the HCG to show up in your urine...test about 10 to 11DPO.   Good luck!

I like your name, "Disney Chick"...do you work for Disney?  I did the Disney internship back in college and am just obsessed with Disney stuff.  We just lost our son at almost 20 weeks two weeks ago due to a cord accident...so we are going to Disney in early October to have something to look forward to.
Anyways I know that this had nothing to do with fertility but I liked your screen name:)

The embryo generally will not implant until 7-10 days after ovulation.  If you test now you will get a BFN.  I think you need to wait until at least the beginning of next week (10-12 dpo) and even then use a FRER for the best chance of detecting early.
