I'm not sure why its high but I'm thinking it has to do with PCOS. I was told 8 years ago that I had a prolactin problem but I got pregnant with my son and it was never addressed again but since I haven't been able to get pregnant they wanted to re-check it.
I was on Parlodel for a while (pituitary adenoma/growth) but not for fertility. It made me quite nauseous so I wasn't on it for long; I went on to Bromocriptine... why is your prolactin high, do you know? If it's a micro adenoma you may be fine on Parlodel; mine is macro so they were trying a significantly high dose for me.
