Tired of pos opks!

Last month I had it happen and here I go again. I am on my 3rd round of pos opks and no temp rise yet! I am getting po'd. This a new game my body is playing with me and it's getting $$ and tiring (bd til you drop)

I have always had good luck with the cheap-o answer 20 pack. Well, I started to doubt them since I keep getting pos opks and no o. So I bought the #1 rated CBE. Guess what, same freaking thing. This am answer was 2-3x darker than the control line. CBE same thing. If this dang egg doesn't pop soon I am going to scream. Or Tim will if I don't stop telling him he's still on duty, lol.

I asked the dr last time I was in and he said it could be the cyst causing the pos opks. I didn't ask for a full synopsis, figured I could look it up. But, the cyst was small and should be gone by now.

I'm thinking of changing my name to "tiredofbding"

Consumer Reports and independent labs showed that the regular Clear Plan Easy (now CBE) not the smileys are the most accurate on the market. Here's one of the links to the findings. It's also updated on Consumer Reports.

But, at $20 for 7 of them the $$ is really racking up.  I have o'd as early as cd12 so I start testing on cd10.  I have been using them and the answer and both have been way darker than the control.

Still no o :*( cd22. I didn't even bother with the opk today.

Yeah Kelly, Tim has had s/a 2x now and is more than a-ok.

I did my last round of Clomid last cycle and am switch to Femara for the next one. Dr said less problems with cysts on it.

So, in the meantime, I sit in the still waiting area, *sigh*

Also, my dr. has now told me to spend the extra $$ to buy the OPK's with a smiley face versus the color lines.  That takes the guess work out of it.  It can be sooo hard to tell if the color is signifying a high level of LH versus a real surge of LH.  Good luck to both of you!!  (susan & tina)

thanks!  yeah, temp was up again today so I think that must be good.  It is so frsutrating though, maybe the lh just sticks around  sometimes?  I dont know, I cant figure it out but last night, my opk looked negative I think.  ugh, who knows.  ?

susanelizabeth, it sounds like you have just ovulated because of the rise in temps.  Yes, it is so agonizing!  I told my dr. next cycle, if this one doesn't work , I'm having u/s monitoring and trigger shot. The trigger pretty much guarantees o in 36 hrs.

im with ya, this is my 3rd day of pos opk - this has never happened to me before and Im annoyed.  I peaked on my monitor sunday and monday and had an almost pos opk sat night, pos sunday, pos monday and glaringly positive again today!  My temp was even up today so I dont know what the heck is going on!  I agree, it's friggin expensive and Im tired of all of this planned unspontaneous bding, it's taking all the fun out of it!!  Now you mentioned this happened to you before, what happened last time, did you finally o?

I've been having the same problem.   Except my surge line is never darker, it's just the same color and sometimes really hard to tell if its the same or lighter.  I just finished my 2nd IUI this cycle just to be sure because I've been showing what appears a pos. surge for 5 days!   I was advised to buy the smiling face OPK's that way you aren't always questioning.  However, if you truly are surging all the time thats indicitive of a hormonal imbalance and/or pregnancy.  Could be the cyst does have your hormones out of balance.  Good luck!!

Hi Tina...or should I say "tiredofbding" :-)  I can totally relate to that name sometimes...LOL! As for the positive OPKs, yeah, I've heard cysts can cause that too. Are you on any fertility meds?
