Progesterone Blood test at 8dpo?

I called the doc today because it is 7dpo and i wanted to get my progesterone checked to see if i did indeed ovulate. they want me to check it tomorrow at 8dpo is this normal? i have low progesterone so maybe they are waiting an extra day for it to build but i havent heard of anyone else doing it a 8 dpo. any answers are much appreciated. thanks
Amanda

i will ask when i go. they might also give me the HCG shot. so maybe that is why they will wait till 10dpo. maybe the hcg does something to the numbers. oh well. i am hoping for a good baby egg for you too or maybe a few. :)

Sounds a bit late but I guess they know what they are doing :) Almost there - come on good baby egg :) Just ask the doc when you go in there for the U/S why it is so late and not 7dpo like normal.I always worried about forgetting a dose of clomid - just a fear that women have I guess. :)

well i am glad that the testes you got back were good and that DH spermies are good as well. I know exactly how you feel about being the problem when it comes to getting pregnant. I feel bad but i guess i am doing all i can to remedy that. And so are you so don't feel bad:) i have also heard that metformin has worked in getting women with PCOS pregnant better then clomid.  i hope it works for you:)

Yeah HSG is on New Years eve - how cruel is that ? :) But my new deductible starts over Jan 1st so it works out well :) Nothing planned right now. My daughter is wth her real father til the 1st so I am attempting to get all of my errands run before she comes home (and put my lesson plans in for the next few weeks :) I just got my lab results back from the RE - all that blood they took on Sunday! It was 10 vials and 5 sticks because I had to do the 2 hour glucose test - UGH - my arms look like I am junkie who shoots up!!! I am soooo bruised. I would be screwed if it was summertime!! But the good news is my labs came back good so far, still waiting on a few of them and got the morphology back on DH sperm and it is great. So, I am happy about that. Just makes me feel depressed because itis all my body's fault we aren't getting preggo. I just picked up my metformin for my PCOS and took the first pill today. So, maybe this will help! We will see.....

Hope all is well with you and will be checking in soon.
