Progesterone Suppositories causing longer cycles?

I've been ttc since october of last year. Just this year i started taking Clomid because I wasn't ovulating. On round 3, at 150mg, I finally ovulated. I'm now on round 4, and my doc prescribed progesterone suppositories for me to start taking on day 20 of my cycle. Blood tests suggest that I did ovulate, but i went in for the blood work on day 23. Now it's day 33, I'm a day late and have no pregnancy symptoms. I tested this morning and it was negative. Is it possible that I didn't actually ovulate, that the suppositories made my numbers go up and made it look like I ovulated? I've also heard that they can prolong your menstrual cycle even if you're not preggo. Oh, and I had a TERRIBLE cramp on day 23, the same day as the blood test, that made my hubby take me to the emergency room because I was in tears. The doc there (who SUCKED, by the way) only did a urinalysis, poked my stomach a few times, and listened to it. He claims it was a side effect from the progesterone. I called my OB and the nurse there said that she's never heard of anyone having side effects like that. What is going on with me? I'm so confused and moody. I'm losing weight because I can't eat or I feel sick, but don't actually vomit. I'm driving my husband crazy and I'm getting depressed. All I want is a baby... Why is that so hard to do?

I am on 200mg prometrium - orally - but my cycles were longer.  The first round with progesterone I went a whole week late - went in to the dr's office for b/w that came back negative - the nurse said that it 'shouldn't' prevent me from getting my period -that if I'm going to get it I would get it - but it sure did delay things.  When I finally spoke to the nurse for her to tell me the b/w as negative, I was in bed crying b/c I was cramping so badly...

OMG this sounds exactly like my last month.  It was the first month that I started using prog. supp. after IUI.  Went for b/w on CD25 and prog was 30, which is pretty good.  But it also made me think did I really O or is it just the meds that are causing prog. to go up.  I did get LH surge that month on my own.  That same dat (CD25) I had terrible cramps the whole day, flet like I was having a period.  It was 8DPO so I kept thinking that maybe it's Implantation cramps....wishful thinking I guess.

Anyways on 11DPO I tested BFN, but continued to take prog just in case it was too early for HPT to show anything.  Up until that day I kept feel different symptoms, mostly AF.  After that the symptoms started to dissapear  I didn't feel preg. or like AF was coming.  I retested on 15DPO still BFN at that point I stoped prog.  AF arrived only on CD34, which is longer than my normal cycle.  So I think progesterone does prolong the cycle.  Next time I see the doctor, I'll ask.  For now I'm taking a break this month.
