AndreaG on my first IVF cycle I did not have any left to freeze. I transferred on day 3, due to not producing enough. It only takes one to attach. Look at it this way, you could have 8 implant like the lady in California. WOW!! Remember it only takes one.
I have 3 IVFs and none of them have any make to freeze even on second and third IVF I got retrieve 8 and 10 mature eggs.
You got 2 good ones, best wish to you and hope you will get BFP on this one, so you don't have to worry about the FET.
Oh Andrea - i too didnt have any to freeze past Day 5. I had one transferred and the other 2 just didnt make the grade to freeze. It is quite common not to have any to freeze and it does mean more expenses and meds and waiting etc but i guess next cycle at least I am going in with everything new and renewed and maybe even a new protocol so I have hope.
BUT you got 2 good ones and I hope you never have to worry about a FET and you will get a BFP shortly.
I hope the TWW goes quick for you and congrats for making it to this point....you did good!
yes, it is common...there are quite a few women on here that had egg retrievals that didn't have any left to freeze. I pray that the two you transferred are snuggled in nice and good and that you are well on your way to a healthy pregnancy! Good luck to you!
