To feel nothing after my IUI is killing me!!!

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! I am on 6dp IUI and definitely in 2WW. It is the most horrible moment of my life. I try to stay positive and hope for it but now I feel really down. Everybody around me seems to be successful with their babies. They conceived naturally too. I am 36 yr old with PCOS, recently had small cyst removed from my ovalry. I have been starting the feetility process since April. I was on clomid on 2nd week of Dec for the first time and I have only one good egg (22mm). Husband is 31 yr old and he has good sperm (37 mil on the day of IUI). Lately I have been reading more information on IUI, but it gets me worry more too.

I havent felt anything in my body after IUI but slight cramp in my left side and sleepy + tired. I have no sore breast, no morning sickness, etc. And this feeling nothing is killing me. I know I shouldnt worry too much since it is my frist IUI. But it can be the last! Everybody in my family (except my husband) doesnt understand me well. They didnt support the idea of trying to conceive with help from the doc. I feel discouraged and sad. Sorry for rambling a lot...Thank you.

Yes, it is too early to feel anything.  Please don't feel discouraged.  Typically it takes up to 3 IUI's for success.  So, have hope, take heart and keep at it.  There is nothing wrong with seeking help for a medical condition.  Infertility is no different than diabetes, or high blood pressure, both of which it would be perfectly natural to seek medical help.  Best of luck!

Thank you all of you for your kind support and sharing your successful stories with me. You guys might not know how much your support means to me. Well it means a lot. I feel better today and stay positive. Whatever happens I will not lost my hope and faith. I am certain that I will be a good mother and I can have my baby when he or she is ready to be with me. I will wait for that.

Congratulations! to wantingbabies and momof208.

Kindergal, I will keep my finger cross for you. Hope we can share good news together. ;-) I know how you feel. I have no support at home too. None of my family members support me. When I called them and told them about the IUI, they keep saying that they didnt agree with it. T_T

Helen72 and Tanker Chic...I will stay positive! Thanks!!!

I had IUI in 2004 and was really fustrated and felt it didnt work at all because I had no symptoms. Well.... I was pregnant with b/g twins. What a shock to me when I had a positive preg. test!! Hang in  there!

Even if you were going to have symptoms, they wouldn't start until after implantation.  Implantation occures 6 to 12 days after ovulation.  This is a hopeful time right now.  Don't let those seeds of doubt take root.  Stay positive, you could be pg right now and not even know it.

Take care and good luck.

It is too early for you to feel any symptoms.  Please don't get discouraged.
Also, infertility is a medical problem and you should not feel bad about asking for help!  Get all the help you need to conceieve and to hell with everyone else!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.  Good luck!

Hi there.  I have PCOS also.  I had my first IUI in October ( I had only one mature follicle).  I didn't feel anything either.  But it did work!  I am 12 weeks pregnant.  I didn't have any symptoms until I was about 6 weeks.  So don't get discouraged!  It's still possible!  Good luck to you, and I hope you get your BFP!!

I have had 2 IUIs with injectables and will go for a third in Feb.  You are still very early to be having symptoms so hang in there.  As for the lack of support, my dh kept saying that an IUI is weird..not natural.  I reminded him that two years of natural had not worked!!  I also jokingly said to think of it as a threesome---me, him, and the nurse!  HA!  I have purposely not told family and friends about our ttc journey.  I really do not want to hear other opinions.  People, even family that have not had to go through infertility issues have NO idea what is involved.

Hi,
One thing I have learned/heard from the ladies on this forum is that everyone is different...Some woman have no symptoms and are pregnant and some woman have symptoms and arent (due to meds)...I understand how you feel..Just stay positive!! Good Luck to you and keep us posted!!
