How long after your cervix softens do you ovulate?

I am just curious if ovulation happens with in 24 or 48 hours of it becoming soft and high.

Mine always seems to be softer and higher 2 days before I ovulate, but it's hard to tell.  I'd be interested to see if anyone else has some info on this as well.
