Success with Menopur and IUI?

I just started my first round with Menopur after 3 cycles on clomid+iui.
My first u/s went well and I have another one coming up on Friday.
I'm hoping to have IUI next week.

Any success stories/experiences w/the same protocol?

Thanks for the wishes...  1-2mm a day huh?  That would be great!  Good info, thanks.  Well my E2 level went down from day 2 at 98.2 (which is high) to day 9 at 78 (which is more in line where it should be on day 2 - ugh.  They are doing b/w again on Saturday to see if E2 went up, which I'm confident it will.  Then who knows what's next, lol.  The rollercoaster ride goes on...

As for the septate uterus, it means it had a divider in the middle of my uterus, kind of like the septum in your nose.  They go in lapro/hysto and snip the septum, then build up the lining of your uterus for a couple of months, then you should be all set.  Fortunately mine was on the smaller side, so it was a bit easier.  If it was left there, there is a 90% miscarriage rate as the egg normally implants on the septum then dies, or if it implants elsewhere the embryo runs out of room.  It was kind of a no brainer for me to have it taken out even though it delayed us by 3 very long cycles.

I'm feeling positive and hopeful for Saturday's results and for this cycle and wish you the best.

Are you starting a new cycle?  I hope your husband agrees with your wishes for another cycle.  I'm sure he'll come around - afterall only strong women can go through being a human pin cushion so I'm sure you give up without a good fight ☺

Thank you for explaining the septate uterus.  I'm glad you have gotten this taken care of, as I would opt to fix it as well. It is amazing what our bodies go thru and really who would have ever thought! I'm crossing my fingers for you that your E2 level will be where it needs to be.  Just keep up the positive thoughts and I will be praying for you too:)

I had my scan today and got the green light to start a new cycle.  They are upping my menopur dose to 150 mg for 2 days/ 75 mg for 2 more days and another scan on Monday. Now I just have to try really hard to relax and let my body do the rest.  Easier said than done=P

Hello Everyone.

I pray that all is well and that you are in the best of spirits.  I've been gone for a few days just trying to deal with my emotions.  Wow....I had no idea what type of roller coaster of emotions this process would be.  Thanks to all who have kept me in their thoughts and prayers as that is greatly appreciated. Finally got the hubby to agree to continue with another cycle but we have to wait on mother nature to take her place.  So, while we wait, I'm trying to remain positive and hopeful that this journey will come to an end and we'll be able to move forward with the next phase of thes cycles.  Well wishes to you all in your journeys!  Have a great day!

Keep your head up!

That's great your husband is on board, that's what you need.  It is totally a partnership - especially dealing with all of the hormones and emotions.

I hope AF comes soon for you so you can begin your next cycle...  Best wishes!

Update - ok, so whenever I come onto these sites I always wonder the outcome for people...  As of now, I am 11dpiui, 13 dp 10,000 Pregnyl trigger.  I caved - I tried to wait 14 days and couldn't make it.  Last night I made a trip to the dollar store and bought a bunch of tests...  I took one last night and nothing.  This morning, might as well have been nothing, I'm pretty sure my mind was playing tricks on me, that's how faint it was.  Then at lunch today I had to know so I bought a FRER test and took it at Walmart - yup, Walmart (I have had more proud moments)... BUT it was a BFP!!!!!!!!!

I can't even believe it.  So now I, being a sceptic due to the HCG shot, called the pharmacy yesterday and they insisted it would be out of my system in 7 days.  I called the fertility pharmacy nurse today and she said after 10 days it was definately out and that my result had to be accurate (I'm at 13 days post trigger)!  I'm excited, but scared to believe it at the same time...  After 26 LONG months of trials and tribulations I think our time might be here.  Hopefully tomorrow the line will be darker, and then I'll feel better....   I feel like I have had a ton of symptoms (even a wierd taste in my mouth) but now a test with my first ever BFP!  Let's pray it sticks...

Hoping you girls are having the same success and that this cycle is going better for you!
