Timed intercouse

Ok so I was not pregnant this month (or had an early miscarriage) and even had 4 eggies released and it just didn't happen. I was just wondering if anyone else here has had the same situation??? From what my doctor has told me that there is an only an 8-10% chance with timed intercourse (and with 4 that's almost a 40% chance) and it just doesn't seem high enough to me. I could do IUI (we would have to pay $500 per IUI) and have a 20-25% chance of conceiving just like a normal woman. I am really starting to get desperate because this will be our 20th month trying. Or maybe someone could give me some advice on IVF?

So due to my husbands funky schedule in the military we have definitely decided to try the timed intercourse again this month. I am hoping that because my bday is November 10th I am hoping that maybe I will really get what I really want for my birthday and the second round will be successful! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Thanks! Both of my sons were surprises (on @16 and the other @ 20) and I was much thinner weighing in at about 130lbs both times. I can't seem to get back down to that weight. All of my problems started happening in the last year that my periods have been all out of whack... We have been trying for 20 months and we finally realized (and so did my doctors) that we needed some help. I am now remarried and we would like to have one child together and it has been a seriously long road! I would love to do it naturally but it just isn't possible. We did timed intercourse (more natural than IUI) and I don't know how many rounds of this we will do but hopefully it will work soon!

Oh I'm sorry Nickie ;(  I thought you were pg;(  I am pretty sure I conceived this month too.
I got 2 faint positive's, super sore nipples (made me have tears a couple of times) & BAD heart burn several times, which is VERY typical of me pregnant.  I REALLY think I got pg, but then it didn't stick;(
I was on clomid to do the challenge CD5-9 had a great follie etc.......
Well guess what........AF came RIGHT ON TIME LITERALLY!  @ MIDNIGHT last night LOL.  She is very punctual LOL.
But, it was/is VERY dark, & GOOEY (sorry TMI)  & I am getting small blood clots.  My flow is more than its been in several months.  
Anyhow, I have now had 3 "failed" medicated cycles.  2 on Gonal & now clomid.  & I have produced quickly 2-4 mature follies, & NADA;(

Your still young;)  I know nothing about IVF really, how did you concceive your son?  If I were you, I would get informed on all your options, maybe take a break from meds, focus on being as healthy as you can be, maybe getting into herbs/supplements & acupuncture & give that a few months & see what happens?  Just a suggestion;)
