Clomid 100mg and abdominal pain

Please bare with me im new this so i may be abit long winded. I was prescribed clomid 100mg because i wasnt ovulating and i took it day 2-6 of period have had the hot flushes but not been too bad until a week ago which would be a week since i had the clomid ive had pain in my abdominal area quite severe that it has actually knocked me off work. I struggle mainly when im standing and walking. Any ideas?? is this ovulation pain ? is this normal?? I dont know if i have ovulated tried the test but negative.I have been charting temperature and i took a huge dip a few days ago. Im wanting reassurance really because the docs dont seem to have a clue and i dont see specialist for 2weeks so wanted to ask for other people experiences to help me. Thanks

No thats fine hun honestly im happy to help, CP= Cervical position & CM= Cervical Mucus. Id defo recommend charting your moods its very common to become depressed while on Clomid as it plays with toxins in your brain. I chart everything just because if i ever go to the doc and he says chart (say) Moods,CP & CM & BBT( Basil Body Temp) and make an appointment in 12 weeks im 1 step ahead i find it really useful, You can always compare to the month or week before aswell so something you think is out of the ordinary your worried about you dont have to remember its all there on paper.
If your not too familiar with CP & CM search google for my beautiful cervix that website is really helpful.

I think that feeling is down to your cervix, Sometimes around ovulation and a little after your cervix can get very tender. Are you charting CP & CM, I defo advise charting everything even down to bloating, Mood swings everything u can think of it can make such more sense when its down on paper. I would say once ovulation is over and done with say by CD16-18 it does ease iv also cut out potatoes and bread all stodge foods to help ease the bloating. Also lots of ladies on the 18-34 forum swear on grapefruit juice start drinking from CD1 up ovulation.

I mean like when your on a period and its a heavy one u get a mega dull heavy  feeling well i have had that for the last 4-5 days. IM still suffering with cramps at moment and its another week or so before im due on and going to take the next set of clomid. So trying to understand my body lol its so hard. Have you found anything to make you feel more at ease ?? I think when your going through this and the docs arent very informative you can end up feeling quite alone.Ive wrote everything down and ive also started charting my temp . What did u feel eased your abdominal pain? . Thanks for the reply im feeling so much better now i am getting answers lol.

I totally agree its nice to get other people opinions docs know whats on paper but only people that have taken it can tell you how it feels.I was prescribed Clomid CD2-6 i had abdominal pain from CD10-CD18 I write everything down so if my doc ever asks me im infront i already know lol I also had much lighter and shorter AF, I  had bloating all the way through my cycle and it increased my appitite like mad!! I dont get what u mean when you say heavy down there?

Thank you so much for both of your replies , ive spent most of day getting checked over and everything seems fine apart from the abdominal pain which i have and they said i have fluid which could of been from a burst folicule . But other then that everybody happy with how everything looks. Just nobody can pin point the pain  but they thought it could be a iinfection from the burst folicule. It could also be a side effect of clomid. I have had bloods taken today and am due for my 21 cycle blood test on monday to see if ive ovulated, I just wanted to ask the people who actually know and are on the same level as me. If that makes sense. How long did you have abdominal pain for ? if you dont mind me asking. I feel quite heavy down below have you experienced this? i took clomid on 1-5 of march so im mid cycle. Thank you again for the replies its nice to have people to chat too who know what its like.

Totally agree with the above poster, Clomid can cause over stimulation of the overies you need to be checked out asap. However it is normal to experience some ovulation pain while on Clomid i found i had terrible bloating and like a prickly pain (if that makes sense) that shot up my stomach but this is all due to the overies being over stimulated. What happens with Clomid is folicules form everymonth and on a non medicated cycle only one folicule makes it to be an egg, Clomid tricks the brain into thinking your having a menopause therefor all the folicules that would not result in a egg grow and produce more than 1 egg a month.
Are you having scans to measure your folicule size & progestorone bloods tested?
I hope this info helps.

hi i had the severe abdominal when last once on my first round of clomid. my dr was concerned that my ovaries were enlarged as this can happen on clomid. ask your dr to check for that.
