good or bad???

So I went to the RE today for my first sono. before my first round of Clomid.  I can start taking it tonight.  He put me on 50 mg so we'll see.  My question is I had 2 follicles on my left ovary one was 10.5 and the other was 5.  My right had 5 small follicles...is this good or bad.  Today is CD 4...

I'm sorry that I can't really answer your question about the follicles, I never had any kind of tests like that done.  But, good luck with the clomid.  I also took 50 mg and it worked perfectly!  I also didn't have too many symptoms with it.  Just hot flashes and night sweats.

sounds pretty typical to me.  early in your cycle you have multiple follicles and one will be come dominant and mature.  At time of ovulation that follicle will release its egg.  Sometimes two or more follicles will mature and that is when multiple births occures.. Your 10.5 follicle is probably the one that will mature..

thank you for the info. girls. I am very excited an I hope this will help!  I go back next week to see if they have grown ( day 10).  I think then if they have he is going to give me a shot of HCG..does that have side effects?  Does it make you feel pregnant...sick, etc?

It made me very bloated for about a week and maybe a little nausea but that was about it.  It wasn't bad and well worth it.  Best of luck to you!!  

Oh one more note.. On two occasions my RE monitored my cycle with u/s even after the hcg shot..  both times I ovulated about 36hrs after the shot and both times I got pg.

Wpw!!!  You give me hope!  I'm really thinking it could work this month!  I'm doing well with the Clomid.  The only problem is I keep waking up with headaches..not sure if it's related though.  The hcg shot may be next Wednesday but we'll see based on my follicles....I hope they grow...they have to get to 20 right?
