My update...finally!

Well, after two days of waiting...the RE's office called and my progesterone level was 27.6.  The month that I was pg, it was 58...ever since it's been between 19-24, so this is the highest yet, but I am not sure if I should get too excited since it was 58 when I was pregnant.  Especially because I had the pink spotting the day before I had the test, so I would think if that was the day of implantation, doesn't the progesterone start to increase from that point?

Because I got a second booster shot of HCG, I can't even test until 26th...my bbs started to be sore again last night and into today...not as bad as last week, but worse than yesterday!  I wish I had temped this whole time....

Wow, sounds like you have a really good Progesterone level, whether preggo or not.  Sounds like you have really good chances this month.

Good luck!!

From what I have read, the trigger takes about a day for ea 1,000.

If you IUI'd on the 9th, o should have been very close to that day even a day or two later. The swimmers would be there waiting for the release. So at the farthest scenario, o could have been the 11th(theoretically). 85% of all implants occur 8-10dpo. Yes, some can implant 5-7dpo, but as a majority, 8dpo is the earliest. It takes the egg time to travel down and become the stage it needs to be to be able to implant. So, add 8 to the 11th and that means you may not have implanted yet. Tomorrow or Saturday is still very possible. The progesterone level is indication of a good o, too.

If you did o on the 9th the day of IUI, the likeliest implant date would be yesterday. Mind you, I'm not saying it isn't impossible to implant earlier, but more likely to be 8-10dpo.

Hope I helped more than I confused, lol

My dh is a little weird about this whole thing...He thinks we can do this on our own.  To be honest when I got pregnant in May it happened very fast with out any help.  So I wanted to give us a little longer to try naturally.  I also wanted to make dh feel better...He is so worried since things were so bad last time.  Goodl luck to you...such a long tww...ahhhhh

I really did like the Follistim.  They have to monitor you more closely than with Clomid due to potential overstimulation, but it didn't give me ANY side effects (I think my RE said it's a natural hormone or something like that!) and this was my second IUI.  I pushed to have them because they are paid for by insurance and then I guess I figure I am getting the best case scenario with my DH's little guys getting put in the right place :)

I am allowed to test on Friday, the 26th!  We'll see...I am better at just dealing with AF then the BFN, so I am just going to wait and see what to do closer to the day!

I don't really understand the follicle and size thing.  I always thought that they were measuring my ovaries, not the individual follicles, so I guess I may have been wrong this whole time...but whatever the numbers that they were giving me meant, mine were between 16-20 when they would induce...

Good luck!  SSBD to you!! :)

Oh okay...I haven't really been around much lately.  I had a wisdom tooth taken out so I've been a little out of it.  Thanks for explaining the situation.  Do you like the Follistim better than clomid?  One of the RE's in my RE's office saw me today and he tried to convince me to do IUI.  This is only my first month on clomid so I don't think I'm ready to take that step yet.  I told him maybe next month.  I'm still waiting on the trigger.  They were going to give me to me today but they want 2 of my follicles to mature a little more.  I have one at 20, one 15.5, and one 16.5.  Can they be 18 to be considered mature or do they have to be 20?  Good luck to you.  When can you test?

I got 1/2 ml of 10,000 on Tuesday, Oct. 16th of the HCG for the booster shot.  So, if I implanted on the 15th, wouldn't the progesterone have been higher if I was pregnant?  I know that I am looking for definite answers in a very indefinite process, but I hate the wait so much that this is how I pass the time :)

ashort - I used injectables of Follistim this cycle instead of Clomid and after they induced ovulation and I had the IUI on Oct. 9th, I went in for a progesterone check on Oct. 16th to make sure that I ovulated.  AF isn't late..I am due anywhere between Oct 26th and Nov 2nd. (I ovulated a week earlier than usual, so I don't know if AF should also come earlier, which is why there is such a long time difference in the due date)

It doesn't sound bad at all. Normal range is 9-47 ng/ml in the 1st trimester. Yes, progesterone starts rising at implantation. Implant rescues the dying corpus luteum and it kicks in the production. Around 10-12 wks the placenta takes over. When did you get the last Hcg shot? 5,000 or 10,000?

my progesterone was 14 and my hcg 24 for my first pg. test... I am now 7w6d pg... and on progesterone supplements but it does not necessarily have to be high to be pg!  Good luck!!!
