second iui with low sperm motility and blocked vericose

hi
im very stressed after going through ART such as clomid (for six months) injectibles and one failed iui (with injectibles) seven months back
we are trying for the baby for more then three yrs now  and apparently i dont have any problem in fertilty,my period is very regular and i respond well with or without fertilty drugs.when i went for the first iui i was told on the bed that your husbands sperm motilty is very low and you'll probably not concieve.....afterward he was diagnosed with vericose vein blockeage but gyn said he doesn't need a surgery as he is producing sperms, the blockage is minor and doen't produce any pain....so after taking multivitamins (my hubby) for few months we did two more tests for him and they were good.....again this month i went for my second iui and again my gyn told me the same thing that your husband has got only 15% motililty after wash and even the motile sperm olny moves in zig zag.....so she told me to go for an ivf.....now im totally confused that why his test is poor every time i go for iui  and should we consider an operation for his vericose before moving to ivf....or we shouldn't waste our time more.
i'll be gratefull for any help.

Your situation sounds mine....My DH also had a varicose problem also.... we opted for surgery and after a few failed IUI's afterwards, and we are now doing FET(frozen embryo transfer's) after ICSI (putting the sperm directly into the egg).  The surgery helped a little... but not enough... It was also a very painful surgery, although I do think they do it by laser now (that was around 4-5yrs ago)?  But, if it isn't interferring w/your sex life, and isn't causing him pain.... I would consider the IVF if you have the funds.

Hi- I'm in the same situation. My husband has very low motility and everything is working like clockwork with me. We've tried 2 IUI's and both have failed. We've decided to do IVF with ICSI this July and not waste time with failed IUI's.

Good luck to you! I would consider IVF- that is your best bet! Keep looking ahead and good things will come!
