i need HELP!

did any of you not have egg fertalization at the 18 hour mark and then have fertalization.   My dr office just called and said that only 4 out of the 7 eggs were mature.  Zero fertilized (we used icsi).  They said they will call me tomorrow and let me know if anything changed.  They said they were hoping that they were just a little slow.  Did any of you have this experience.   what would cause them to not fertilize.

Oh, I'm so sorry... big hugs...

Don't give up hope. discuss your options with your doc and no harm in consulting another doc for a second opinion. In my case the first doc totally messed up the doseage so thats why the eggs were not fertilising. I really like my current doc as he understands my particular medical situation and really puts in every effort to finetune the doseage and treatment.

Good luck!

well i just heard from the dr. None of the eggs fertilized.   I'm disappointed.  I had all my eggs in one basket. (no pun intended).  Financially and emotionally.  Now i'll have to wait at least a year before trying it again.

I went thru IVF some years back. After egg retrieval my ***** doc's ***** assistant ato tell me all my eggs were "rotten quality" and none fertilised. She said perhaps I should go abroad for treatment as they can't do anything more.
I was devastated and cried the whole day. I was in shock, wanted to die!
The next day the **** assistant called me and said "there's been a miracle and one of your eggs got fertilised. We can transfer it tomorrow. We did not expect this to happen and we are all amazed."
The IVF didn't work out, but I saw one beautiful embie that was transfered back and it gave me a ton of hope that my eggs CAN fertilise :) And here I am, one divorce and several years later trying my second IUI cycle for my first child with lots of hope and faith, and a new doctor, of course!!
Don't give up hope, best of luck!
Sam.
