Post from Kaylee: Just an update: thankfully uneventful. I had my 32 week appointment today and everything looks good. Looks like my last day of work will be September 9 and the hubbie is building the furniture we just bought for Hayden's room.
He thinks it's funny that my belly button is completely flat now.
I found out that my doctor will be on vacation the week I am due. Boy, I was/am NOT happy about that. I think it's pretty insensitive... Grr.

scripps: Others have said this, but just to offer another note of encouragement, I have had off and on brown spotting throughout the pregnancy. My doctor says I don't even need to call unless it is bright red.

Many thanks to all of you for your feedback on the spotting. You really made me feel so much better, and I am very grateful for this community. So far, there hasn't been anything else to worry about, and I have been testing twice a day (just did one), and they are all strongly positive. If they are still that way on Friday, I will begin to relax.
Before I started trying to get pregnant, I used a lot of beauty products on my face and body. I stopped most of them, and since I got pregnant, I have been doing a lot of research on what is approved as safe in the way of face creams, body creams, makeup, etc.
This is a particular concern of mine, so I thought I would share what I have learned, but I don't want to give the impression that I think everyone else should be as worried. Most women probably don't pay attention to these product details, and most babies are healthy, so I know that this is perhaps going overboard. However, if it interests you, here is the info:
My skin has been breaking out a bit, but most doctors recommend pregnant women not use the acne standards: benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid. I have just been living with it and using nothing. Yesterday I discovered a line called Belli, which seems serious about prenatal and maternal personal care products. I wondered what, if anything, others have heard of it.
A watchdog organization called the Environmental Working Group is my primary source of information about such matters. That's where I got the water information:
www.ewg.org/ourwater. The bottom of that page gives a link to their bottled water report. They also have a cosmetics database called Skin Deep that tells you about thousands of products: www.cosmeticsdatabase.com.
One thing I learned is that natural and safe most of the time isn't necessarily safe during pregnancy. For instance, a number of essential oils aren't good for pregnant women. Also, too much vitamin A, even in over-the-counter preparations (usually called retinyl or some version of that word), should be avoided. Even witch hazel, according to a seemingly well-versed woman in the health food store, should be used with restraint.
I am currently using Weleda's rose soap and rose eye cream, both approved by the database. Aubrey Organics is a good line, and, as I noted above, I'm considering Belli.
I would be very happy to receive any feedback, criticisms, alternative product suggestions if anyone is interested in this type of thing. All the best to everyone.

Hey!! I've been lazy not posting, but I have been checking on everyone!! I am doing much better this week, but I was down/upset with the PCOS news and the insurance not paying for the LAP...many things going thru my mind....plus busy here at work and at home. Today I start Zumba class again....it was suppose to be last Monday, but it was canceled due to bad weather...I am concentrating this next 7 weeks on loosing atleast 10 lbs.

sbumblebeeo: I'm glad things are going well (besides being so sick). I hope you can get ahold of your doc and he can give you something to relieve it! If he gives you Zofran - make sure you take fiber (ask first) and eat fruit!!! That stuff will stop you up so fast!!!
Mommyin10: I still can't believe that I'm pregnant sometimes...It just doesn't seem real all the time, which is kinda wierd lol. I think once I can REALLY feel the baby move and we know what it is, it will hit really hard lol! I'm still just anxious to get this house done! DH and MIL worked upstairs all day on Sat. and basically got the wiring done and the closet in the new room done. So, I guess it's one step closer lol...
Mrspace: Glad to hear you had a great weekend - sorry about the pain, are you taking anything for it? When do you see the doc next?
Luvkayln: Girl, I cannot believe you are 22wks already!!!! It just seems like time is flying by so fast!!! I still haven't bought anything yet - I think I'm just a little leary yet...I don't know why...But probably once we know what we are having and all looks good there, then I'll go bazerk lol!!!

I'm doing fairly well today - DS is home with me all week since the sitter is on vacation...But I start work tomorrow (2-10) which kinda su cks (the hours). But at least Friday and Sat I work 10-6. Hopefully it's not aweful busy tomorrow - I'd like just to have 4 massages instead of 6 to do on my first day. But I have myself scheduled so that I only do 2 massages in a row then a break 2 more then a break 2 more then go home. 6 is my max for a day.
I'm trying to get all my cleaning done before work tomorrow - but with DS who is now almost 3, that is kind of hard to do lol!!! Just need to sweep, mop, finish laundry ( I Hate folding laundry lol!!!)...I should mow the front lawn (it's not that big) but I'm getting those stretching pains in my left side again, so I think I'll take it easy... =) I'll check in later - Have a great day!!!

Good morning everyone. I'm doing better this week. I had a busy weekend with my cousin's wedding. But I have some new pics to put up later. DH and I had a great time and he was so amazing. My sister and I sang at the wedding, but once we got to the reception, my feet were propped up and I was relaxing. DH was so sweet. He fed me cake, and danced the slow dances with me. It was great.
My temps are still up for some reason and I'm still in a huge amount of pain. It's all on my ovary at this point. And the bleeding has almost stopped now. So all of that is going well.
stacey- I hope all is well with you and Jake. I can't wait for your next update.
mommyin10- I am so excited to see your new pics. I will go see them here in just a few minutes. I bet you are feeling great!

As far as your little one measuring smaller than you expected, as long as your doctor isn't worried, please try not to worry. Remember, we thought we were having one baby after our first u/s...Our second one was nowhere in our first u/s pic! The next week when we saw the first one's h/b, we saw the second one's sac, no hb... The next week, we saw two heartbeats, but the second one was still smaller. This past u/s, the second one wasn't too much smaller... I think they do catch up, so please try not to worry! =) That's good you're calling your doc today about throwing up blood, etc. That's what I would be worried about... I can't imagine what your poor body is going through ;( Hopefully he can give you something that'll help. So, the septum showing in your u/s, is that from your prior surgery? Well, it's great to hear from you & I'm so happy you saw that precious, little heartbeat! Congrats & take care =)
Luvkayln: How was your day off? Are you working today? I'm back in my own courtroom this week, which is great & I'll see my ob tomorrow, so it'll be a 1/2 day at work. This Saturday after our appt, my mom is taking me shopping for maternity clothes! That will be fun, to shop and to spend time with her :) Oh, I know you'll love this! My MIL makes quilts & stopped by this weekend to give me squares that I can write on, draw on, whatever I want to do to remember my pregnancy & then she's going to use them to make me a quilt! I think that's such an awesome idea & I can't wait to see the finished product =)

We saw the baby's heartbeat at 151 which they said is strong BUT (always has to be a but) he only measured in at 7w 2d on Friday. Somehow I lost 5 days and I don't understand how. I know when I got the +OPK and when we BD'ed. What could have happened? He said he isn't worried about it and he wants to see me in 4 weeks just like normal.
Oh and I forgot. You can still see the septum in my uterus. He said we'll worry about that when I get much further along, towards the end of the pregnancy. Not sure what that is all about.
I have to call him this morning though...we talked about how much I have been sick and he said that he can give me something if it doesn't get better. Well I am now throwing up *****TMI********* yellow stomach vile with bits of blood in it. My belly simply hurts! I am so exhausted. So I guess I'll give him a call and tell him that and see what he wants to do.
I'll try to post my pictures this afternoon. Right now I need a nap :)

I have to call him this morning though...we talked about how much I have been sick and he said that he can give me something if it doesn't get better. Well I am now throwing up *****TMI********* yellow stomach vile with bits of blood in it. My belly simply hurts! I am so exhausted. So I guess I'll give him a call and tell him that and see what he wants to do.
I'll try to post my pictures this afternoon. Right now I need a nap :)

dnikki: Thanks for the pic comments :) No, it hasn't totally hit me yet! I still have to tell myself, you're pregnant! I am very happy, though & enjoying every momnet :) So, how far along were you when you started feeling the baby? That must be exciting! I fet cramps down low, too, kind of like AF cramps & my nurse said it's okay. It's just the uterus stretching ;)

AFM: Doing pretty good here - I think I'm getting Braxton Hicks contractions already. My low tummy will get fairly hard and it feels like menstrual cramps almost. I didn't know it was possible this early lol - but I guess I know what they feel like from DS...Today I'm having some pain in the low tummy - almost like I can feel it stretching out. I don't know - I'm still being real cautious with this pregnancy!!! I start my new job on Tuesday, so hopefully that will work out and not cause me too many problems. I am feeling the baby move a little bit - yesterday it packed quite a punch after dinner lol! But I don't feel every movement as it's too small yet. I wish I knew what we were having so I could quit calling it and "It" lol!!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

I got another ultrasound, and the doctor said he didn't think I would need a DNC, but I'll get checked again on the 31st when I'm back in Paris. Philippe has been very supportive, so I'm just trying to keep living in a healthy way. Many thanks to everyone for the support and information. Some of you told me how much you had to struggle before succeeding, which gave me some hope, and I really appreciate it.

Our appt went great :) We saw both babies' heartbeats & they've grown quite a bit from last week. Their sacs are bigger, too, so now you can see them right next to each other :) I uploaded two new pics! I am now stopping my progesterone injections, which is great 'cause I've been taking them since July11... I'll have my first appt with my ob on Tuesday & my last appt with my RE next Saturday. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! =)

Mommyin10- Here I am! ;) I'm not sure where everyone is... Hhmm! Hope your appointment went well today! Can't wait to see new pics of your 2 little ones! :) I did some more shopping online last night for Addy! I got her changing pad ordered, and breastmilk storage containers, which I'm thinking are a lot more logical than the bags b/c their reusable. I'm having so much fun baby shopping! It's like as soon as I think I honestly don't need anything more, I always think of something we have to have for her! :) I don't think that'll ever end though, I love baby shopping! :) You get to have twice the fun! ;) I do need to go buy new bras today before work though! My "big" bras are officially too small now! Yikes! And they are SO sore right now! Oh well, better get used to it since I'm breastfeeding! ;)

Okay, now you girls have me super confused. My doctor called with my results yesterday and said that according to my hcg that morning, his assumptions were correct. It is an early miscarriage and at this point, the baby is gone. That's all he said. So I assumed that meant that my level was at 0. He never gave me the number, so I just assumed that when he said "at this point the baby is gone" that meant 0. So now I'm going to call him this afternoon to see what my numbers actually were. I was pretty upset yesterday and didn't even think to ask. So sorry for all the confusion. I just assumed. But I guess you know what they say about when you assume...
Hannah- Sorry about AF! :( But look at it this way, a brand new cycle means a brand new chance to concieve, right? ;) Good luck to you this cycle!
Mrspace- Wow, that was quick! Your hcg is already at 0?! So do you think the clot was the baby? :( I'm glad you will have an u/s next week to make sure, and to check on your ovary, etc. I'm just so sorry you're having to go through all this. Mrspace- Wow, that was quick! Your hcg is already at 0?! So do you think the clot was the baby? :( I'm glad you will have an u/s next week to make sure, and to check on your ovary, etc. I'm just so sorry you're having to go through all this. Have you and dh had a chance to talk about it at all? I know he's having mixed feelings over it, so I hope you 2 can really talk... So did you work today or are you taking a few days off to recoup? I wish you all my best sweetie! (HUGS)

your hcg went down really quick i thought it took longer did u doc say that was normal :s i guess like mommy sed its good ur back to normal still i would ask it can take weeks in somecases i hope u feel better......

Wow, your hcg went down to zero so fast! Mine took over a week. I guess that's good, though. Now you can move forward & try to get an understanding on what's going on. Take care! ;)
update: HCG came back at 0. So it's gone. **tmi alert** I had a rediculously huge clot this afternoon. It felt like it just kept coming out. So, it's pretty much over now. I'm still in a lot of pain, which the doctor said was normal. Especially with my ovary. So I'm still on modified bedrest for that. I'll go back in for another u/s next week to check on my ovary. Thank you all for the support.

Good morning everyone! I had bloodwork done first thing this morning to check my hcg. I just have to say, I appreciate all the positive energy from you all. To be honest, there is no way that I can still be pregnant. I'm bleeding so much and in so much pain that it's just not really possible. If I weren't bleeding, then I would TOTALLY have hope. So at this point we're just checking to see if my hcg is down to 0 yet. I will have a u/s next week to check my ovary and we'll start working on that. But thank you all so much for all the positive energy. I will update again as soon as I get my hcg results.

Mommyin10- Haha!! I'm over Octomom too, but I'll admit I watched her special on tv last night! ;) Happy 8 weeks to you!! I can't wait for more u/s pics on Sat! :)

Scripps- Oh sweetie, your post broke my heart! :( I can honestly feel your pain! I'm just so sorry, but please don't blame yourself! Like Mommyin10 said, that's so easy to do, I know... but it's not your fault! I don't think flying had anything to do with it either. I flew early on... And oh sweetie, I know it's hard to be optimistic about future pregnancies right now, trust me! After we lost our daughter when I was 36 weeks pregnant, I really had no hope! At all!!! :( I was devestated, and I still cry all the time for her, but look! Now I'm 22 weeks pregnant again with her little sister! God has definately blessed us again, and he will do the same for you! Stay strong! (HUGS)
Rachjas- Oh, I can only imagine how sad it was to see your 2 sweet angels again at your u/s! I know they will find a reason why this happened! Stay strong! (HUGs)
Dnikki- That's awesome you were given so much clothes and were able to keep a lot of them! :) And omg, how awesome to think that by your next appt you will know what you're having! Yay!! :) Have you told ds he has a little brother or sister coming soon? Yes, we've gotten Addy's room done! It looks so cute, and I promise I'll get pics taken! :)
