Women of Strength!!!

A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

Post from Kaylee:  Just an update: thankfully uneventful.  I had my 32 week appointment today and everything looks good.  Looks like my last day of work will be September 9 and the hubbie is building the furniture we just bought for Hayden's room.

He thinks it's funny that my belly button is completely flat now.

I found out that my doctor will be on vacation the week I am due.  Boy, I was/am NOT happy about that.  I think it's pretty insensitive... Grr.

Stacey: BEST OF LUCK TOMORROW!!!  YAAYYYYYY!!!!

scripps:  Others have said this, but just to offer another note of encouragement, I have had off and on brown spotting throughout the pregnancy.  My doctor says I don't even need to call unless it is bright red.

Post from Scripps:  To: Everyone
Many thanks to all of you for your feedback on the spotting.  You really made me feel so much better, and I am very grateful for this community.  So far, there hasn't been anything else to worry about, and I have been testing twice a day (just did one), and they are all strongly positive.  If they are still that way on Friday, I will begin to relax.

Before I started trying to get pregnant, I used a lot of beauty products on my face and body.  I stopped most of them, and since I got pregnant, I have been doing a lot of research on what is approved as safe in the way of face creams, body creams, makeup, etc.

This is a particular concern of mine, so I thought I would share what I have learned, but I don't want to give the impression that I think everyone else should be as worried.  Most women probably don't pay attention to these product details, and most babies are healthy, so I know that this is perhaps going overboard.  However, if it interests you, here is the info:

My skin has been breaking out a bit, but most doctors recommend pregnant women not use the acne standards: benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid.  I have just been living with it and using nothing.  Yesterday I discovered a line called Belli, which seems serious about prenatal and maternal personal care products.  I wondered what, if anything, others have heard of it.

A watchdog organization called the Environmental Working Group is my primary source of information about such matters.  That's where I got the water information:
www.ewg.org/ourwater. The bottom of that page gives a link to their bottled water report. They also have a cosmetics database called Skin Deep that tells you about thousands of products:  www.cosmeticsdatabase.com.

One thing I learned is that natural and safe most of the time isn't necessarily safe during pregnancy.  For instance, a number of essential oils aren't good for pregnant women.  Also, too much vitamin A, even in over-the-counter preparations (usually called retinyl or some version of that word), should be avoided.  Even witch hazel, according to a seemingly well-versed woman in the health food store, should be used with restraint.

I am currently using Weleda's rose soap and rose eye cream, both approved by the database.  Aubrey Organics is a good line, and, as I noted above, I'm considering Belli.

I would be very happy to receive any feedback, criticisms, alternative product suggestions if anyone is interested in this type of thing.  All the best to everyone.

I haven't heard from Stacey yet, but I promise to post a message as soon as I do!!! =)

Stacey:  We're all thinking of you & your family on this wonderful day, Jake's B-Day!!! =)

Keyan:  Just two more days!  Yay =)

mrspace:  How are you feeling today?  Will you test tomorrow?

Kaylee:  Sorry your doc will be on vacation!  That's a bummer! ;(  I'm glad to hear you & Hayden are doing well =)

scripps:  You've got me thinking...  I'm gonna check my face cream, etc. just to make sure it's okay ;)  Will you see an ob in the States?  I think you should.  It'll ease your mind a bit.  The hpts will test positive so long as your hcg is above, like, 15 or something, so try to relax and "believe" it's okay :)  I know it's hard.  I still pinch myself & tell myself, OMG, You're pregnant! Haha =)  It's so hard to believe...  When was your retrieval date?  Then I can add how many weeks you are to our list.

luvkayln:  How was your anniversary?  ;)

Good morning!  AF is officially late!  I still have no spotting or anything.  My temps did go down slightly this morning, and that has me worried.  That's why I didn't test this morning.  So I am going to wait and test tomorrow at 14dpo.  Dh wants me to wait until Saturday which is 16dpo, because it would make my doctor happier lol.  I am feeling more crampy this morning which has me worried too.  My bbs are super sore still and I had some nausea this morning again.  I was begging to throw up for about an hour just because I thought I would feel better if I did.  But it subsided and now I just have heartburn.

I finished another baby blanket last night and now I'm working on making stuffed animals. I'm workign on a chiuahua today! lol

Mommyin10: Thanks for starting another thread :-) How are you feeling?

Mrspace: I cramped like AF cramps until like 8 wks, so hopefully that's what is going on with you... I think you should test tomorrow =)

Stacey: Thoughts and prayers are with you on this WONDERFUL and EXCITING DAY!!!

Keyan: You're almost done!!! Woo-Hoo!!

Rachjas: Please know you and dh are in my thoughts and prayers throught this time...

sbumblebeeo: I posted on the other thread yesterday about your "morning" sickness - check there and let me know if you got it. How are you feeling today?

GUESITO: I'm sorry to hear what you are going through with your daughter. It really is a difficult position. I know here in OH, if you are under 18, children services are involved right when the baby is born. So if they see the baby is not cared for the child will be immediately placed with another family member who is capable of caring for the baby. I'm not sure about the laws in FL though... Maybe this helped some and will help you to get started on what to do. Good Luck :-)

I had my u/s done today - they had to move it up a day due to an IVF case tomorrow which was fine by me! Baby is healthy and doing well - everything is normal :-) We got to see it's heartbeating again and it was moving all around!! It kind of looks like a little potato sack with a head lol - but you can now see it's legs and it's arms are more defined. I'll take a pic of it and post it. Also with some belly pics. I'll try my best to take them myself!
About 11p.m last night WE GOT HOT WATER!!! Lol - you don't realize how much you used until you can't use it lol! So I have to get caught up on cleaning and laundry and such...fun fun! I'll check in later today!! Have a great day everyone!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

Yep I read it.  Thanks for the response!  I try to sip water all day but the 6 small meals...um not so good.  I can't keep it in.   This morning I tried to eat 2 crackers before getting out of bed and gatorade and threw it up when I got to work.  I bought the sea bands and put them on right after my shower, no help.  I usually only throw up once a day except for today I had the plessure of doing it twice with one more feeling on the way.  I guess I am just going to be suffering for the next 5 weeks and 2 days.  Any idea why I am soooo dizzy to?  I'm thinking it's got to be due to the lack of nutrients in my body but I can usually keep dinner down.  This is miserable.

Congrats on the U/S, it sounds wonderful.  I can't wait for that, maybe then all this will be worth it.  Right now I can't believe I'm pregnant still.  O and congrats on the hot water!  What a relief that must have been.

xoxo

Stacey- Woo hooo!!!! :) A BIG congrats to you and dh!! Happy Birthday Jake!!!!! :)

Leighanne- Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that! Ya know, I was honestly just thinking about you this morning, wondering where you were but I figured you were being a busy mommy! ;) We missed you around here! :) Hopefully you and your fiance just need a little break. Ya know, sometimes it's for the best to just take a breather from each other, and then when you do get back together, you just realize how much you 2 really need each other! Sean and I have been there before in the past, and it's always better when things get rekindled, b/c you just realize how much you really need and love each other, and things are just so much better!! It'll get better sweetie, things always do! :)

Dnikki- How awesome that your little one was being very active today during the u/s! :) Those are the best, it's just so amazing to see! :) Hope you're able to get your pics uploaded, I can't wait to see them! :)

Mrspace- GIRL...! What the heck are you talking about " my temps went down!" Ya, maybe .2 degrees! They are still SO high and your chart looks "text book perfect!" Seriously!! I'm shocked that you've been able to NOT test yet! I would've been testing days ago! ;) My BFP chart doesn't even look as good as yours, the only reason I tested is b/c my temps hadn't dropped yet, and Mommyin10 made me! J/K! lol ;) Please, please DO test in the morning! I'm excited, yay!! :)

Mommyin10- We didn't do much for our anniversary last night. We went out to dinner, and then came home and relaxed. I think we'll do our celebrating this weekend. He mentioned going to the Lake of the Ozarks, so that will be fun! We'll see though! :)

Well, Sean has officially gone into "daddy mode!" I thought I was bad! ;) He's been deep cleaning this house everyday, and of course I've been helping him! :) He said it's best that we do it now, while i'm not THAT big, ;) and then afterwords he'll just keep up on it b/c I'll be exhausted everyday near the end, just b/c I plan to work up until the day I have Addy! I did with Kayln, so hopefully I can with this little one too! :) It's really hit me now that we're going to have her here in 3 months vs 4 months! It seems like it's right around the corner now!!! I'm so excited, but feel I really need to get into gear! I feel I'm doing good though, but nothing will ever be clean enough! lol :) I'm off this weekend, so I promise I'll take pics of her room! :)

Rachjas ~ You and you family are in my thoughts and prayers!

Mommyin10 ~ Twins???  Can't wait to hear about your u/s Sat!!!!

Congrats Stacey!!!

I am hoping to be able to go back to the RE next month, but who knows! I feel helpless just trying on our own. I just can't wait to get back in the game. So we'll see how things go.

I have been really busy taking my Dad back and forth to the doctor's. He is going to have surgery for the tumor in his leg on the 18Th. The Dr said that he doesn't know if it is cancer or not, but he is going to treat it as if it were. They also found 2 small things on one of his lungs....which they are just going to keep an eye on for now. I am going to be away from home for a big part of next week, because the hospital where he is having his surgery is over 3 hours away and my mom won't come home until he does, so I can't leave her there alone. I am so nervous about his surgery. He has alot of health problems and can't be put all the way to sleep, but for this surgery he has to be....so his rate of not making it through the surgery is much higher. So the 3 hours the surgery is going to take, is going to seem so much longer. I try to update more often......Good luck ladies!!!!

luvkayln: Your anniversary sounds nice ;) I enjoy going out to dinner with dh & relaxing at home. Have fun this weekend!

Sbumblebeeo: If you're dizzy, you could be anemic. Try getting more iron in your diet, maybe an iron pill ;)

Congratulations!!!!! Here's to another happy, healthy baby!!You must be sooo over the moon... Please post asap ((((((hugs)))))

Afm- Waiting for baby to be born, DCF is already involved and have promised to test baby, mom, and dad for drugs as soon as baby is born. Im still sooo furious with her because they came out to her apt. and found no electricity no food. They told her she had to move in with to prevent the child from being removed once born, she accepted and once they where gone she didn't come through. She refuses to leave her little husband behind!!! Anyways they are suppose come re-visit this week at my home and they will realize she is still living at her apt under those conditions. Just a big mess!

Good morning! :) I have officially only 15 more weeks to go! Yay!!! :)

Mrspace- Thinking of you this morning!! I really am crossing everything that you get your BFP today!!! By looking at your chart, I don't see how you won't get it???! It looks perfect! ;) Good luck and I'll definately be checking in soon for your update! :)

Ad_06- Oh, I'm so sorry for what your dad is having to go through! :( How scary! He will definately be in our prayers for his surgery! You are a great daughter to be taking such great care of him! Keep us posted and we'll be thinking of your family, and praying his surgery is successful and that he makes a full recovery! God is great, and does answer prayers! :) I'm excited for you to go back to the RE! You'll be back on that BFP list soon sweetie! :)

Sbumblebeeo: Dizziness during pregnancy is very common, but be sure to sit down right away and drink some water/eat something light (crackers? Especially if you can't keep anything down!) Later in pregnancy, around 5 months, remember to not sleep on your back anymore. That cuts off circulation to the baby, and can cause dizziness for you, so just lie on your side.

Well, better get ready for work! Is it the weekend yet???! I'm ready to sleep in one of these days! ;) Have a great Thursday everyone, I'll be checking in for updates when I get to work!! :)

Good morning.  I'm 14dpo, my temps are about the same as yesterday.  I DID test this morning and I got a BFN.  I'm taking it in a good way though.  Maybe it's just too early still.  I feel a little more crampy, so part of me is expecting AF.  And now, I know several of you will say that cramping can be normal during pregnancy.  If AF doesn't start by Saturday I will test on Sunday or Monday.  That's what my doctor wanted me to do in the first place.  If I don't get AF by Monday and I'm still getting a BFN, I'm supposed to go back to the doctor.  Either way, whatever happens happens.  Yes I'm bummed this morning, but not too bad.  Maybe it's just too early.  A friend of mine on here told me she got a BFN at like 15 or 16 dpo and got a BFP on 18dpo.  Sometimes it just takes time I guess.  I also took a cheap test.  My expensive test I will take on Sunday/Monday.

I am super nauseated this morning, but I haven't gotten sick.  My bbs are also just a sore and sensitive and swollen as before. Maybe I should start saying that I have Triple S bbs!  lol (sore sensitive and swollen).  But it's okay. This weekend my mom is going to take me shopping for some better bras (more support).

luvkayln- Thanks for all your support hun.  Happy 21 weeks!  I'm so happy for you.

keyan- I'm so happy that tomorrow is your last lupron shot. *doing a happy dance for you*

mommyin10- How are you feeling?  I can't wait for your next u/s

OH!  By the way I posted a few new photos last night if anyone wants to see them.

luvkayln, i hear you.  we are alredy starting to see how much we missed, love and need eachother.  we are finding better ways of communication while we try working on things.  he has stayed over 3 nights in a rowm, which is big since he had not stayed over in a month when he left.  but we are hopefully going to get through it and be stronger than ever afterwards.
congrats on how far along you are.  are you getting so excited?

well ladies jaedyn was 6 months old this past monday, can you believe that, a half a year old.  time flies.  he is rolling all over the place which has bme up nervous all night checking on him cause he tries to sleep on his belly, he will prob cut a tooth like anyday now.  he is baby talking all the time abd belly laughs so hard.  he is now on stage 2 foods.  they grow up so fast.

Hey ladies!

Guesito: Wow - that is a big mess to be going through. I hope everything works out!

Ad: I'm sorry for what your family is going through - You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers =)

Luvkayln: I can't believe how time is flying past! You seem so far along already and it seems like just last week you got your BFP - not to mention mine lol!!

Mrspace: Sorry about your BFN, but I'm glad you're taking it okay... Hang in there!

Mommyin10: Good luck on Sat!!! Maybe you'll see 2 little beating hearts??? =)

Stacey: Congrats again!!!!! I hope you and little Jake are doing well!

AFM: I got the new job!!! Hopefully it works out well! They certainly know I'm p/g and they are fine with it and are accomodating me and they were already talking about how to do things when my belly gets bigger lol :-) I also get paid hourly which is really nice AND I get to keep all my tips!!
Baby is doing well, I'm feeling him/her move more now - nothing hard but gentle fluttering movements - except when it decides to pound on my bladder (at least that's what it feels like!!)!  DS and DH are also doing well - we are actually going out for dinner tonight which will be nice. We are going to a Japanese Hibachi...MMMMMMMMMMM! I'm keeping food down fairly regularly now but I do get quesy still at the slightest things but it's easier to control actually getting sick. We are still doing the potty training thing - I tell ya, I thought he would be trained by now!! He's still having 1-2 accidents a day but I guess that's better than him not going in the potty at all.... Well, I'll check in later! Have a good evening ladies!!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

We're getting take-out from our favorite Japanese place tonight ;) Yummmm is right!

mrspace: Keep up the great attitude :) Your temps look great & hopefully it was just too early. Best wishes!!!

Leighanne: I am sorry for what you and DH are going thru, hopefully it will all work for the best!! Happy 6 months Jaedyn.

Naf: just a few more days on your 2ww!! any symptoms?!

today is FRIDAY and also my last lupron shot!! YAY!! OMG I can't beleive it has been 6 months already!! now I just can't wait to start TTC. I am schedule for an u/s today too, hopefully all is ok!! I haven't had as much cramps as I did last month ( I even thought I had a cyst or something, but I shouldn't get any cysts while on Lupron).  in 4 weeks I can start counting as CD1 and although it will take a few more weeks to O, I know I will O before November when I will be do to get AF again since march, of course I am not looking to have her around, it has been great not seeing her ugly face for the past 5 months and I know I still have 2 more months to go without her, so that's good!!

Happy Friday and Weekend!!

Keyan: I'm glad you are feeling well and done with the shots.  What with all the shots and blood tests, fertility treatment does make one feel a bit too porous!

mommyin10: Thinking of you for tomorrow!  To answer your question, I don't think I will see a doctor here.  I'm in a very small town where I have no relationships with doctors.  Also, I'm afraid they would want to run a full battery of tests, and as I have no coverage here, it could get very expensive.  I would do it if I thought it would help, but at this point, there's not much they could do.  Also, everything seems ok for now.

dnikki: So glad you got a new job that accommodates you!  It must be wonderful to feel the baby moving.

mrspace: You sound like you are staying strong.  I know the wondering and constant checking of symptoms is nerve-wracking.

So, today is four days since I had the scare with the brown discharge.  Nothing suspicious or worrisome since.  Breasts still sore, pregnancy tests still positive.  I don't really have nausea, only mild twinges of stomach upset that quickly pass.  However, my skin keeps breaking out, and it doesn't usually.  I would prefer the nausea.  I won't know anything for sure until the 31st when I have my appointment in Paris, but I'm feeling ok.

Good morning!  I'm 15dpo and doing okay this morning.  My temps went up again.  So that's fun.  Still no AF or spotting.  I'm super tired today.  No nausea or anything, though, which is great!

Last night was crazy for us.  I got home super late from work.  I was so tired.  I had some supper, worked on a baby blanket and then went in the bathroom to take a shower. ***TMI ALERT**** I peed, flushed, and went to turn on the shower.  No problems right?  WRONG!  Within 2 seconds my bathroom was flooded!  The toilet overflowed.  I've never had that happen before.  We don't own a plunger!  So I had to go to my inlaws super late, wake them up, and get theirs. That sucked.  And now they are giving me a hard time saying I clogged the toilet.  Gross.  Whatever.  So it took two hours to fix it.  I never did get my shower.  Grr.

Then right before I went to bed, I saw 3 little bugs in the hallway.  Then 2 more in the bedroom. I killed one and looked at it.  I swear it looks like a termite.  But DH says it's not.  So.... that has me worried. But oh well.

mommyin10- I'm so excited for your u/s tomorrow. I can't wait for your update!!!

dnikki- Hey girl!  I hope you are feeling great and that the new job is going well!

luvkayln- Hey girl!  I hope little Addy is doing great.  I can't believe you're 21 weeks already.  I bet it's amazing!  I'm getting nervous to test again already.  I'm testing on Monday.  And this time I'm not going to rush it.  Even though I want to.  My temps went up again this morning, so I'm nervous.  But I'm doing my best to not even think about it. We'll see what happens.

Thank you alll so much for your thoughts. It means a lot to us. We will get through this. It's just going to take time.

At my 2nd u/s, they took blood. My TSH came back high. High TSH can be caused by pregnancy...or it could have been out of whack ahead of time. Although, I just had mine checked a month ago or so. We are keeping my medication the same for now and will recheck to see if it was elevated due to pregnancy. If it's fine at next check, we will leave it...When we get pregnant the next time I am hopeful she will just automatically raise my dosage upon getting a BFP.

RE wants to see me next Wed. My appt. is at 10. I am really hope this starts on its own. I guess if it doesn't, we will have to take the next step.

Baby Jake needs our prayers. He's been transferred to a neonatal lung specialist at a children's hospital, within their intensive care unit. Stacey is unsure what the exact issue is, but his left lung partially collapsed last night. As you can imagine, mommy & daddy are distraught, but remain positive. Please keep them in your thoughts & prayers ;)
