Thanks everyone. I'm back from the hsg and everything looked good, no blocked tubes. It did hurt and I still feel a little crampy. My RE did the test and I watched the screen and she explained that everything looked fine. So I don't have to wait for the results. What a relief. Now I need to have a mid-cycle u/s and then I'll have another appt. with her to discuss everything, all the tests. We'll see where she wants to go from there.
Thanks again
My RE didn't do my test, so I didn't find out right away, but I got my results two days later at our consultation. If your RE is doing the test, I agree with the ladies. You should know right then and there. Best wishes to you!!! =)
I found out my results right away. The dr was looking right at the X-ray screen as she was injecting the dye.
Take a deep breath and relax. It will be ok. Take your pain meds and invision that BFP!! Good luck!
I found out right then and there as soon as the HSG was over my results.
Good Luck!
Good luck! Don't be too scared, I'm SURE you will be just fine. I figure, if they don't put you under i can't be that bad. I'd probably rather do the HSG than get some dental work done!!! YIKES!
If I'm not pg this month, then I'm getting mine done too, I got it approved but was too late for this month since I O on CD9!
She should tell you right there. You should be able to see the monitor and the pics they take. Take lots of extra strength tylenol (I took almost 2000mg! - I was freaking!) and try to relax as much as possible. If something is wrong, there is nothing you can do. The HSG is great because it gives you an answer right there as to if your tubes are closed or not. I had no idea one of my tubes was completely closed. Now I know I need eggs on one side more than the other :) It hurt, not going to lie, but one of my tubes was blocked, so I ahve no idea if that is why it hurt so bad. It wasn't bad enough to make me puke (which is bad pain!), but it didnt feel good either. Hang in there. My doc let my DH go back. Ask - all the can say is no! HUGS and let us know what happens. Good luck!!!
