2 months after d&c and still spotting!!! Please share your experience

I had a d&c for medical reasons exaclty 2 months ago.. had light spotting for a couple of days afterwards, then one day of heavy bleeding with bloodclots (was told by my doctor it could be normal), but never stopped spotting since then. On my 3rd week revision post d&c, my hcg levels were still at 220 and tissue was seen in the ultrasound. I was told to wait for a few more weeks and to get my hcg levels monitored. For the following weeks they dropped slowly, but consistently and a week ago they were at 14. However, some tissue was still shown in the ultrasound, so I did an hysteroscopy last week where the remaining products of conception were removed. I spotted lightly for a couple of days but since yesterday heavy spotting started again!! I am going crazy!! By now my hcg levels must be down to zero, it cannot be my period and all the remaining tissue has been removed...so what could be wrong still??? Anyone with a similar experience or who would know what it could be...Back to the doctor next week, but this whole situation is driving me crazy...!

Thank you so much for your reply, it was a lot of help to know that someone has been through a similar experience and that it could be something normal... I am very sorry for your losses, unfortunately I also know what they are like... Here a little update on my situation...Yesterday I woke up with lots of bleeding and cramps. Since the doctors I had seen before had told me that I could not ovulate before my hcg levels were below 5, then had to wait another couple of weeks to have my period and 2 weeks ago my hcg levels were still 14, I thought something serious was happening. I went immediatly to the hospital and the doctor on duty said indeed it could be my period, as you can ovulate with hcg levels under 50! So much contradictory information! In any case she did an ultrasound and run some tests (smear test, bacterial tests,...) so hopefully by next week I will know for sure if it is my period or not...I am exausted..going through all this emotionally is already so difficult, that having to deal with all these physical problems, doesn't make it any easier...Indeed, very frustrating..Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me and wish you all the best.

I had 2 miscarriages and had to have a D&C both times. The first time I had bleeding/spotting for 4-5 weeks. The second time I was pretty much bleeding for 2 weeks, then just had spotting off and on for about 7-8 weeks.  I've read that some women might bleed or spot up to 8 weeks, or up until you have your first regular period.  Plus, since you had to go back in for the hysteroscopy last week, I'm wondering if you're having more bleeding/spotting because of that since you still had some tissue.  I never had to go back in so I'm not sure if that is to be expected or not.  I just know that for my 2nd one, I had bleeding and spotting for a long time. Try to hang in there... I'm probably not much help to you but I know how frustrating it is...
