I just turned 43 and have looked into just about every option from an economical standpoint. If you are serious and really want to have a baby, you need to act soon and aggressively. My husband and I were not able to afford donor eggs so we have opted to adopt frozen embryos. Our cost for the transfer, including meds is about 1/4 of a donor egg IVF. A great deal of IVF clinics won't even consider you after 44. I have been wasting my time ttc. Even though I did get pg a month b4 my 41st bday. Odds are very high that it won't happen again even with normal FSH levels. I wish I had been more aggressive a few yrs ago. Good luck!
