anyone got pregnant with overactive thyroid and after tubal reversal?

Hi I have an overactive thyroid and had a tubal reversal in dec08 I had a MC in march 09. Iam currently on thyroid meds 150mg propylthiouracil per day. Doc wants me to have radioactive iodene but I wouldnt be able to try for a baby for a year. The doc could only save 1 of my tubes so it will be bit harder to get pregnant anyway. I only took my thyroid problem for the first time after having my 8 year old son I havent needed meds for 2 years untill I had MC which is making me think it will go away with meds I ask doc if it would be related to pregnany but all the answer I got was oh well its relapsed we will just get rid of it with iodene treatment. I need to no if anyone out there has went on to have a baby with just taking meds or what is the best option my head is spinning after everything ive been through to have a baby to be told I cant now? The reason I got sterilized in the first place was because of my thyroid but when it went away they told me I could go ahead and get reversal . The doc wants me to go on pill untill this time next year I dont no what to do Is there anyone out there that has or is going through same thing???

Hi well all I was told is my levels went from 26 to think she said 36 in two weeks it has stablized at high but with time I no it will go down again. my thyroid antibodies are at 115 I really dont no what that means thats the first time Ive had that done. I had started the pill for 2 weeks but I have been feeling really bad so I stopped it 3 days ago was getting alot of breakthrough bleading which has stopped now thank goodness. I no its just cus of MC but they wont listen to me. I must say last couple of days I have felt great still very tired but thats all. I would really just like to stay on meds and try but they wont listen.... Keep in touch let me no how your going!!

Well yesterday I got a call to tell me that I have a hyperthyriod again. So yes you can get pregnant but you have a higher chance of MC form what my docotr said. My levels were .38, which are better then what they have been this last few years .24-.27.

What are your levels?

I would not do it and wait at least 6 months for it to regualte! I had a pregnancy induced thyriod and yoru last resort is that always as you would be on meds. What are your numbers? I never took anything for mine. I had numbers of like .12-.20 I think they varied. Now they are like .24 and boarderline. I really do not htink you need meds as you should let your body regulate on it's own. But I do not know your numbers. I gained 13 lbs with Lilah and she was born at 30 weeks due to other problems. You can llok up standard process online and find a physisian or have one mail a thyriod one to you. They are natural and work. I took then and in two weeks was better and have been good since. I know you live in UK but I am sure you will find a resources for them Best of luck and let me know!
