I can sooo relate. I've thought about buying a doppler, but knew it might stress me out even more! I'm sure your fine! It is hard to find the heart beat in the beginning. Have faith, your baby will be fine. If your not bleeding or having contractions-things should be O.K. I read that the chance of a successful pregnancy after 12 weeks/heartbeat is 97%. Hang in there!
I can't remember when they start doing kick counts....but if you have concerns, call the doc. That's what they and insurance are there for. Hope things turn better later today for you.
hey lady....stress isnt good
try to relax and call you doc and see what they say to do
one thing for sure when im preg again is....anytime im in doubt the doc "will" check it out
good luck to you
Oh, silver! If only technology could only help us and never harm - but I agree with alikat, I think that it's probably hard to find it for yourself. However, I also believe that the doctors are in their practices because of us, so if you have questions or concerns, give them a call - it can't hurt to ask them! :)
Good luck and congratulations!!!1
Hi there!
What is doppler? How to use it?
I believe that the best way to find baby's heart is to have an u/c....otherwise, Silver82, you shouldn't be worried!!!!!!
Please don't worry. You are trying to find the heartbeat by yourself and you may just be missing it. I cannot tell you how many times in my last pregnancy the doctor couldnt find a heartbeat with the doppler and off to the ultrasound room I would go, to find everything just fine. Sometimes baby is moving around and hard to find! Also, as to the pain, at 16 weeks, probably ligament pain, stretching. If it becomes unbearable, go to Labor & Delivery, to ease your mind, bonus- they'll find that heartbeat!
