cramping

I went to the ER for abdominal cramping (lasted 3 days) and was told I was 5-6 weeks pregnant and the cramping is more than likely an ectopic pregnancy.  An ultrasound was done and nothing could be seen in my uterus.  A cyst was found on one ovary. They told me my hormone levels are only 1000 so in 48 hours they should reach 2000 and another ultrasound needs to be done because something should then be seen in the uterus. I was also told I have a UTI and was given antibiotics.  I started the antibiotics and the cramping has completely gone away.

My ? is should I really be fully concerned that this is an ectopic pregnancy when there is no bleeding, never had an STD and, when they felt my stomach and when 2 pelvic exams were completed there was no  extreme pain?

Your stort sounds similar to mine and I did have an ectopic (pain, cyst, nothing on u/s, UTI, cramps gone after meds, never had std, no pain with pelvic exam). However, mine did come with bleeding. Since you are having no bleeding, that is a good sign! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
