Hello all !

Well We had 37 eggs and 21 made it to freezing I had OHSS so we did not do a fresh cycle so we are doing FET of 3 embryos on the 4th of June ! My RE is using a natural FET prodocal because all my blood work is perfect and I ovulate like clock work and my uteren lining always ends up the right thickness and my progestrion my body makes the right amount so I was the perfect canadet to do this he said only women who have the best test results should do this ! He said I have a 80 percent chance of getting PG but he is sure I will this frist cycle and possibly with twins ! I just love the idea of no shots ! but RE is putting me on 3 to 5 day bed rest he know I will not make it pass 3 LOL !  When are you going to do the FET ??

Hi, I am perfect now. I was on bedrest for a week and the rest of the blood clot reabsorbed and Im back to normal now and almost to week 11! Both A & B look like babies now and not aliens :-) and are measuring almost a week ahead so everything looks great.  See FET are great!!! :-)

Hi! Yeah..i think i'm going to ask them about the progesterone...why they dont test the levels....
The only thing i can think of is that i will on 200mg 3 times a day.... So..maybe thats a high enough dose for them to feel comfortable not testing?? I dont know..
The transfer is scheduled for May 10th... :)

Redhenful - Everything you said sounds right, I was on steroids too I forgot about those.  I would only put three in if you prefer triplets though! I'm not sure why they don’t check progesterone. With an FET your body doesn’t ovulate so it doesn’t produce estrogen/progesterone so I believe they have all the control with the supplements they give us. Good luck!!! When is the transfer?

amo123 – Thanks!! I am doing great, I am 9 weeks today, and the babies are measuring 9w6d with very strong heartbeats. I am currently on bed rest due to a subchoinic Hemorrhage (blood clot that burst behind the placenta) other then very scary bleeding and a trip to ER all is ok I am on bed rest to give my body time to reabsorb the blood clots left over from the bleed that are currently sitting on the opening of my cervix.  Going through/getting pregnant with IVF was stressful but this is a whole new ballgame being pregnant and the stress that comes along with your dreams finally being realized yet having no control on their wellbeing in your belly! Scary but I wouldn’t change it for the universe :-) Be ready!! Take care and I wish you all the luck in the world for your FET!!!

Thanks!!! Yep if I didn't have a strong preference my RE probably would have had me wait a month but my goal was get pregnant an have baby all in same year for insurance and tax reasons and so I pushed for the FET without waiting. It makes a failed cycle easier to handle too focusing on a new cycle!!  I don't see why he would want to wait 2 months! That seems really long :(. I'm sorry you have to wait but yay for FET!!! :) we are so lucky you and I having FET as an option, so many women don't have that luxury.

Regarding your frozen embies, Day 5 are generally great but what is going to matter to you is what survives thaw and how they look at that time. All is takes is 1!! They will probably thaw the 3 dayers first. STay positive!

Hi ladies!
We just had a failed fresh donor egg cycle...
I'm now moving onto FET..
I'm on cycle day 5..And on estrogen patches every other day..
On cycle day 16 i go in for ultra sound and blood work...
then i start progesterone vaginally that night.. (3 x daily..)
I think transfer is 5-6 days after starting of progesterone..
I was wondering why they dont test my progesterone before transfer? (actually they dont test my progesterone at ALL inless i get a positive BETA 9 days after transfer...)
Is that normal??? Actually, i only have to go into the clinic one time this cycle..(on the day of the ultra sound..)..
The frozen embies are day 6 blasts. I have 3 of them... i'm hoping that they let me transfer all 3 of them. (because i think my odds for success will be higher with 3..maybe??)

I'd also appreciate anyones input with FET's...
I'm just so worried that it wont work because the fresh cycle failed, and FET has such a lower success rate... :o(
OOh also..they said that they are going to put me steroids for like 5 days before transfer ...just in case my body is attacking the embryos after transfer...
*sigh* i dont know....

I am so happy for you Kristy and BF congrats and all the best, and healthy pregnancy to you. So your DR did the cycle with frozen embryos the very next month of your fresh IVF. Because my DR want me to wait for 2 months after failed fresh IVF which I did in march

I have good news for you......     So there has been a fairly recent discovery (last year) that some patients in a fresh cycle have a progesterone that gets too high and that throws off the lining and prevents implantation. SO, with all your great embies I would look for great results in your FET.  My dr did his own "mini study" regarding this and all his patients he had freeze and wait to do a FET got pregnant. I can also tell you that I am one of those people whose progesterone "creeps up" and when it was controlled, I got pregnant. Hope this helps. If you want any more info on it, just let me know. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I too am going in june for an FET (frozen emryo transfer). This will be my 2nd one, my 1st one i did end up with a BFP bad sadly miscarried at 12 weeks. I have heard an FET is easier becasue there is less stress on your body with all the drugs of a fresh cycle (my fresh cycle didn't work). Maybe we can support eachother through this!!

Hey there! I am currently pregnant with twins after my FET :-) My fresh cycle in Feb resulted in 35 eggs, 28 fertilized with ICSI and 20 made it to day 5 blastocyst. We transferred 2 and got a bfn. In March transferred 2 frozen and they both stuck! In all of my research I have done on FET there is so much success with frozen transfers because your body isn’t all jacked up! I did a medicated FET, (I wouldn’t trust a natural FET) they started me on estrogen on day 5 or 7 and then started on progesterone shots twice daily 10 days before the transfer. After the transfer I did 3 days couch rest.  I am still on estrogen and progesterone until I hit 11 or 12 weeks.  My biggest piece of advice is ONLY DO 3 IF YOU ARE PREPAIRED FOR TRIPLETS!!!  Take care!!!

Yup, one of my friends. Listent I was just reading about how to get better result after IVF transfer. Well it mention that you should rest more than 20 after the transfer. Then when you go home complete bed rest for over 4 hours. One of my friends said that she was on complete bed rest for those 2 weeks and remove all caffeine products. Here is the site if you want to read further... :)   ivf-infertility.com/ivf/standard/procedure/replacement.php  The best of luck with your babies. Keep us posted!
