chemical pregnancy?

So my period was 5 days late, and I swore I was pg. I took the test the day I was due and it was negative, then the day I was going to do another, I started bleeding, but abnormally heavy and clotty, and bright bright red. Terrible cramps  too. So today is Friday and it started Wednesday. My question is  if I was pg like I suspected, and I am having a chemical, would I test positive now? Would it even matter if I did test, or should I leave it alone and assume it's just a bad period?

Thank you. I am just going to move on from it. Knowing or not knowing isn't going to change anything. Thank you for the support.

I just had a (lost?) Chemical pregnancy and if this is what is happening to you, I am very sorry. At this point, it sounds like a test won't do you much good. If you really want some confirmation and feel you cannot just move on without knowing you might want to get a blood test now, then a few days from now and look at the levels. Hang in there!

I think that's a personal choice. Whatever you choose I wish you the best on your next try. We were doing IVF and I was testing super early and that's how I caught both of mine. It gave us some valuable info that helped us be successful this time. If I can help you with anything please message me.
Hugs

Thank you.  I thought about taking one yesterday but I am not sure if maybe I am better off not knowing? Or to find out so I can grieve if I need to and put it behind me rather than dwelling on it.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss.  I have had 2 chemical pregnancies.  With my experience it would be negative at this point.  You could always try an hpt and see what it reads.
