hi yes I had to take prometrium for 14 days to bring on my period. I had to take it vaginally. I did it every not before bed as it can be yukky.. it should bring on your period. good luck
i have taken provera a couple of months in a row it does work. you will bring down ur period my the folling week sometimes in 5 days. Good luck and God bless.
i have taken provera three times and it does work. it must work. the first time, my period started 6 days after i stopped taking the pills . and the last time, it started three days after. my periods are a bit heaver when i take provera. i might have to take them every month because i was just diagnosed with pcos. but last month, i got my period without provera. you might need to take it a couple of months in a row so that your period will be normal again. dont worry. its not bad and it does work. the only thing i didnt like was that i ate soooo much when i was on the pills.
I have not had a period since July 13th and my doctor gave a 10 day RX for provera (at my request) to bring it on. I took the last pill 8 days ago and still no period. Just wondered if this thing is foolproof - does it always work? Has anyone had any experience of it not working to bring on period?
i have taken provera before too and i got my period 3 days after i took my last pill...than this month my re put me on prometrium for 10 days and i got my period on day 10 so it works i also have pcos so its hard i never really get my period on its on good luck to you.
Hi I too have taken provera to induce a period.... I have not had mine for over 9 months and needed to induce a period to start my first round of Clomid.
It has now been 9 days since my last tablet and I have not had a period :( I called the nurses at my fertility clinic, they told me that I should already have it by now so I will need to go in for further tests and assess my situation! I already have PCOS and I have tried Metformin (which restore menstural flow in 90% of women) BUT NOT ME and now PROVERA too!! I dont think I can take much more of this disapointment :(
And its right before xmas too.... I just wanted something to work. I cant imagine never knowing what my baby would look like....
I am going through the same thing right now. Metformin didnt work to make me have a period either, and now I am on day 13 after taking the last pill. I called my doctor's office and the nurse told me it could take up to two weeks.
In Feb 07 I stopped getting my period for nine months my doctor put me on a 10 day supply of provera. About 30 days later my period came, I had it normal for 3 months but never got period in March and is due again in 2 weeks. I have done 2 pregnancy test and I do have a few signs of being pregnant but both test came back negative { 1 at 5 days late the other at 8 days late} guess I should also mention I had my tubes tied in 2001.
I m not getting my first month's period, Is Provera will work...?
suggest me as soon as possible...?
i've been searching the web about women who are irregular because i'm also irregular with my periods i haven't gotten my period for 5 months the longest i've skipped is 4 i been freaking out thanks for posting comments ladies i haven't been diagnosed with pcos yet i just started taking provera i read all the side effects and it has me freaking out has any one had any major side effects? thank you!
I've taken provera alot.since I started my period the only time ive stayed regular was because I was on birth control or provera.I don't have any side affects at all.I take it for 5 days and I usually start my period 3 or 4 days after my last pill.hope this helps
So you are trying to concieve? I am too but I rarely have periods. I took Provera 1st time and started May 15th. This month Ive had acne (big time!!!) cramps, bloating and that fatigue feeling you get when you start but I have not had a period and this has been going on for 3 days now. Did provera regulate your cycle or do you have to take it monthly?
