HPT negative ( day 11 )

I did a bad thing and took an HPT today and it's still negative. Transfer was August 20   3 day transfer. Is it time to accept the unacceptable?

I'll go for the test Friday but I'm not sure how to handle the Dr. telling me bad news.

When I was pg my beta was only 40 at 14dpiui. I took hpts at 10dpiui, 15dpiui, and 16dpiui ( the last 2 times b/c I wanted to see a BFP on a hpt) All the hpt's came back BFN. Keep up hope. My levels rose appropriately and 9 months later I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy DS. He must have been a late implanter.

I just did a similar post! So HI! I did the no no and did a hpt too and it was neg!! Tomorrow is my blood work I am still praying! But cried a lot today. I did a 5 day transfer with 2 embryos. I am praying tonight for both of us!!! There must be that baby dust for all of us! Good luck

I love all the positive feed back. Dr. is sending me for BPT tomorrow. I will know for sure on Saturday. I hope your right! All the best!

That's only 13 day it is still possible.

I went to the Dr.'s today and they did a urine test and it was negaitive. Should I give up? The day 3 transfer was August 20th.  I'm so disappointed.

I hate that progesterone shots give you all the pregnancy symptoms... they do that to DRIVE US CRAZIER!!!! Like we aren't already :)

No... I know... I know... they do that to keep the possible pregnancy going but the symptoms makes us CRAZYYYY

I know what you mean. I totally feel pregnant but I'm pretty sure it's the progesterone shots and estrogen I'm taking : (

oh boy.... it does not look good but  they need to do the blood work. I wonder sometimes about the 3 day transfer. I heard 5 day transfers are better since that is when the uterus is ready to received the eggs as a blastocytes, however people do get pregnant on 3 day transfer so who knows right!!!

Some people don't get positive results till 16 + days after. So good luck and stay positive.

sometimes.  you want your urine concentrated.  if you take it in the middle of the day when you peed an hour before and just drank a whole bunch of water, you could dilute it enough to get a false negative.
but i would not get your hopes up this round and start preparing yourself for the blood test.

Does it matter if you don't take the test first thing in the morning? Now, I'm making excuses for the negative results:(

still possible, but less likely as most have enough hcg in their systems by now to test positive.
and you did not do a bad thing by testing, sometimes it's better to know than to not know, even if the results are not what you want them to be.

i'm sorry to hear about your neg result today.  
there must be a reason why they wait 2 weeks before testing, right?  so... as much as it is hard to ignore the result you got today and keep it out of your mind... try to pretend you didn't do the test and HOPE that your friday test result would be different.

I'm so sorry to hear that! just wait and see... I mean... what else can you do?

HPT do not always detect low levels of HGH so you never know.  It is not a final negative.

I think we become too optimistic in this forum and give one another so much support but what else can you say... It's over when it's over... not before :)
