What would you do-more clomid or move to injectables

hi gals- here's the scenerio: did 7 cycles of Clomid/Ovidrel in past year with no success. We took about 6 months off due to liver issues and mental break. Now we're ready to try again. I have just one cycle of Clomid in the cabinet. I have 3 Gonal-F pens in the fridge. our past insurance covered all injectables and the current insurance doesn't cover them, so it's all we'll get. we're planning to try the last clomid/ovidrel cycle but maybe add an IUI this time. would you try it, or go right for the injections? NP at RE office said it is likely going to amount to nothing (clomid cycle) but I still want to try. Also, we were really planning to wait about a month to start TTC again, but due to severe spotting, i had to do provera. I need to drop just a few pounds and get my blood pressure under better control, so if this cycle IS pointless, it would be ok. your opinions?. thanks-

My RE went straight to injectables with timed intercourse, didnt bother with clomid because she said it thins the lining too much.  Evidentally she was right because first round it worked.  Good luck to you.

I agree, you should go straight to injectibles. clomid is only recommended for up to 6 cycles.  I did 3 cycles of clomid/IUI with no luck and now have started injectibles/iui.  I have one more week before I find out my beta!

Goodluck to you:)
