IUD Mirena Just removed Tuesday

Hi everyone I searched  and didn't find answer for this so here goes my husband and I decided to have another baby since our son is turning 2 on the 13th of May well I had a period on the 28th of April that lasted 6 days a usually I never stopped having a period while on the iud it just wasn't as heavy so Tuesday the 8th of May it was removed I spotted for a day with cramps it went away Now I'm having heavy bleeding like a real period with alittle clotting and cramps the whole works but this is how it was before the iud my question is..is this a real period and is it safe to assume I will ovulate in 14days? or will I have another period this month around the time when I would have it when I had the iud? which is normally on the 28th...just confused because i read some women don't get a period for along time after theirs where removed...oh I had it for 2yrs any advise? want another baby asap! Thank you for clear that out.  I took my mirena in July 07.  I had irregular period.  When i had my mirena, I had 28 days cycle, when I took it out in july, July - aug - i had 40 days and from aug - sept i had 38 days.  It's hard for me to calculate when i am ovulating.  i am concerning not getting pregnant again due to mirena.

Yes that did help maybe that explains why after having it removed I started a full period then stop now one day later I'm spotting and cramping But I guess it could be the last of my period becuase my Husband and I "you know" so I wonder could this just be the last of my period that was stopped from the sex since it was just 2 days ago

I am not sure what to tell you about the ovulation part of the equation but this was my experience with the mirena iud.  I had mine in for about 17 months and it was removed on Dec. 11th 2006.  I had my normal cycle on Nov 24th and again on Dec 15th.  It had only been 22 days.  Then I did not have a cycle for 38 days.  But after those 2 messed up cycles, they were normal.  I started charting my temps on fertility friend and using opk's and I am 8wks and 5days pregnant right now.  So it took me 3 full cycles after the IUD to get pregnant.  Hope this helps some and good luck to you.
