period after a d and c

i had a d and c 5 weeks ago. i was fine no bleeding or nothing 3 days after . for the past 2 weeks been having bad to mild cramping on and off  and no af, is this normal? i dont wanna bother my doc unless its nec. i have a app on the 4th.

thanks heather. my levels were down at my 2 week check up. i was fine then. then i started cramping and thought it was my af. still nothing. ive been running a low grade to on and off. i just dont wanna bother them if its nothing.its not unbearable. sometimes it hurts bad, but i just  take something and rest and it comes right back.

For some women it takes a little while to get a period again after a D&C. It all depends on your HCG levels at the time of your miscarriage, since they have to gradually go back down to normal before you can ovulate again, and then get your period a couple of weeks after that. But since you're having cramps, I think it would probably be a good idea to ask your doctor...just in case. Maybe you could just call the nurses line and leave a message with them. They can then ask the doctor and get back to you. Take care!
