how to calculate beta hcg in ICSI treatment

I STAY IN INDIA AND MARRIED FOR LAST 10 YEARS...MY WIFE HAS JSUT UNDERGONE ICSI TREATMENT IN MUMBAI...TRANSFER WAS DONE ON 21ST AUG 2009 HER LMP DATE IS 7TH AUG...TWO EMBRYOS WHERE TRANSFERED...BETA HCG BLOOD TESTS ARE AS FOLLOWS

1> 2ND SEPT 50.8
2> 4TH SEPT 108.8
3> 8TH SEPT 400.8

NOW BLOOD TEST IG GOING TO BE DONE ON 12TH SEPTEMBER...IM TOTALLY CONFUSED AS SOME1 IS TELLING ME COUNTS ARE GOOD AND SOME1 SAYING THEY NOT IN GOOD NUMBERS...CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME AS WHAT IS THE POSITION..AND HOW MUCH SHOULD THE COUNT BE ON 12TH...

I had my last period on 22nd Aug was having an irregular period cycle but from last three months it is quite regular.Had not got my periods so did a Urine test on 23rd Sep got a faded line for positive did the beta hcg test done on the 24th and it came as 0.79 mul.Pls advise am i pregant what should be the future course of action.

Hmmm. The numbers do seem to double like they should. I'm not really sure why your doctor is being so pessimistic. Let's see.. so if the transfer was on the 21st, then she should be about 6 weeks pregnant right now, right? If so, the ultrasound should give you a clearer idea of what's going on. Best of luck to the two of you! I hope you'll get some good news on the 17th!

Beta Hcg done on 12th september...count is 1620.3...according to doctor chances of her getting pregnant  are very less as growing process is very slow...im totally confused because i think it is doubling every alternate day than y the chances are less...according to Dr count should have reached 4000 by now...he has asked us to do scan on 17th...im very worried..guys please give me some idea please

Your wife's numbers are great! The main thing early on is that the number doubles every couple of days, and these are! Congratulations!

As far as i am aware the higher the count the better the chances are she has conceived.  I hope you get your BFP this month sounds good with the results shown in your message
