my dr put me on femara and i had b/w on cd 17 and my progesterone was 10.3, is that good? and my dr said i ovulated, so now i have like a 2ww, i hope i conceived. i have been trying for years.

Yes....I had my IUI in this cycle...infact had 2 back to back on last sat and sun. The docs say it is has better chances, esp for couples with low sperm count coz the sperms are washed and put directly in the uterus...so they do not have to undergo the difficult journey through the cervix. It is very commonly done for infertility patiets

have not done the iui yet... to be honest, I really didn't even know what it was until I looked it up recently... we are just hoping it happens without having to do that... but at least I know that's an option we haven't tried yet.

jinitro: it looks like we are just about on the same day... do you plan to test on a certain day? I'm thinking of testing on Valentines Day.

G_S: sorry - I know I can be confusing - I confuse myself sometimes! :) My levels LAST cycle were at 27 (I took Clomid last cycle too) - this cycle I am taking Clomid again and had my blood drawn today to check prog levels - just haven't gotten those results back yet. I'm hoping they are just as good as last cycle! So, yes I am CD21 7DPO and don't yet know prog levels - will prob know monday... I'll let you know... Yes, we are about at the same place here... I hope we both have good luck this time around!

scienceteacher: thanks for clarifying!! That does make sense to me... so if 15 is good and we are at 27 - that must be really good... it sounds promising anyway

Anyhting over 10 means you I'ed. Doc like at least a 15 on a medicated cycle and at least a 10 on unmedicated cycles. At least my doc does.

I am confused ... is it in this cycle that you have 27 and u are CD 21 with 7dpo? If so we are going parallel. good luck to both of us

today I am at CD21 - 7DPO... I haven't heard back yet on what my levels were today but at this same time last month I had 27 - the month before that (before Clomid) I was at 11 and she said it was a little low - I suppose some doctors vary on what they consider low... but at least we know that 27 is a good place to be at :)

What CD are you at and how many dpo? My nurse also said she wanted anything above 10...and was happy to see 27.

My dr told me, when mine was at 11, that it was a little low - she said anything above 20 is good - and now, by taking Clomid, I'm at 27, which she said was good - had another blood test today to see if it's still up there... I guess I just assumed my doc was right about normal being above 20... but I don't know now... maybe 10 isn't bad, just a little low? I really don't know... but that's what I was told - I think, though, as long as you are ovulating - it should be okay...

I just got my progesterone results ...27! nurse says it is good.

do you know what day u o'd?  most people do a cd21 or 7dpo progesterone test.  How does that relate to your cycle?  do you know when you o'd?

I got my progesterone test done today 7 dpLH surge...waiting for the results...but my nurse said she wants to see anything above 10 to be sure I ovulated. So looks like u did ins you are 10.3....and that is exacly what the test tells you (whether u ovulated or not)...nothing more nothing less....You can know if you conceived only by means of preganancy test (stick and blood)...that can be done towards the end of you 2ww
