BBT Rise This Morning - Is it Too Late to BD?

I was on 50mg of Clomid CD5-9 this cycle.  I thought I was going to O today, but had major O pains yesterday.  This morning my BBT went up.  This means I O'd yesterday, correct?  The last time we BD was Saturday and I planned for it last night, but DH fell asleep.  So annoyed!!  Is it too late if we BD today?  I'm trying to decide if it's worth my while to schedule a nooner, since I won't be home until later tonight.

I know the feeling of the days running together.  I'm trying to get all my info together for the REI today!  I thought I had it ready but now I feel like there is more stuff I should write down and remember!  I'm afraid once I get there my mind will just over load!  lol

I definitely O'd on Wednesday, as my temp is still high this morning.  We BD'd anyway . . .  But I'm pretty much counting myself out this cycle.  Well our RE appt is next week and we'll hopefully be given the go ahead for IUI in June.

Progesterone starts rising as soon as the egg is released. The longest an egg will live is 24hrs. The average life of an egg is actually less. I have had many cycles with an "off" higher temp, only to have it go back to pre o the following am. I would still bd.

When you say too late, do think the egg has "died" already?  I can't remember exactly where in the process the progesterone starts to get released.

Stupid body, for not O'ing on the day I expected!!

Once the temp rises and stays up it is likely too late. By the time the progesterone has risen enough to raise the temp it is usually too late. But, it is also possible that it is not a sustained rise. Sometimes you can get an isolated higher temp for other reasons. I would bd anyway just in case. It's also possible that your temp rises quicker than others after o, too.

You could've just Oed last night - a couple of hours before you woke up. I say definately do a nooner!! Can't hurt - good luck :)
