How does Clomid affect your AF?

I am on my 2nd round of Clomid.  AF isn't due until Tuesday 11/14, but today (11/11) I had some thick brown (with a little bit of red) discharge.  I'm guessing this is AF arriving a little early, but my periods NEVER start out brown, thick and light.  I usually start off having a heavy red period.  Has anyone else had different kinds of periods while taking Clomid?? Please share your experience!

I'm on 50mg clomid day 2-5 and have endomtriosis.
The first day of my period was exeptionally heavy I would say 50 fold, I'm not exagerating, I could not go to work due to the amount and now I'm on day 11 and my husband and I had sex yesterday as we were told to do as a matter of course twice to three times a week, I now have a thick brown discharge (not dark though but cloudy) and this is not normal for me and I'm quite worried. I have a little pain in each side I can't find anything like this on the net.

When i was on Clomid I had some spotting a few days AFTER my cycle was due.  So I was a little late... for every 50 mg, I was one day late (funny, huh?).  But I NEVER spotted before... I thought it was odd, but every test was negative.

I hope this helps a little.   I have read a few times before with other posters that clomid made their cycles later, not earlier.

Wow, I'm the exact opposite. Before Clomid I spotted a lot between cycles. I'm doing my first round of Clomid and haven't had one day of spotting yet. It's amazing how drugs affect people in such different ways. I hope you guys find the answer you're looking for! Good luck!

Thanks for your comment.  I am also in the process of getting a second opinion!  I'm actually considering changing docs all together.  If you don't mind, please let me know what your second opinion says and I will do the same.  Good luck!

I have had this same question for many months, with Clomid and without.   Some people say Clomid can cause spotting, but I'm sceptical that something bigger is wrong.  My current fertility Dr says "don't worry", but I am seeking a 2nd opinion about this.  Sorry I couldn't help, but I'm right there with you with the wondering what the heck is going on!
