I just finished my first ivf cycle.  Im currently waiting to take a pregnancy test to see if the embryo implanted properly. I can mostly say that its very  uncomfortable because the meds taken stimulates your ovulation causing your ovaries to produce more eggs than normal which in turn causes them to swell. But for me it will all ve worth it to have a positive pregnancy test and a new bundle of joy 9 months later....

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello there,
During IVF treatment cycles the procedure involves collecting eggs, collecting sperm, fertilizing the eggs together in a culture dish or test-tube, and then transferring any resulting embryos into the woman's womb. The progress is monitored through ultrasound scans and blood tests. The only procedure which can be considered minor surgery in the IVF process is the retrieval of the eggs from the ovary.  Most of the injections which are given intramuscularly can now be replaced by medications that are given as a little injection under the skin. In IVF the older a woman is the higher are chances of impaired egg quality and quantity. For this reason, the earlier you have IVF treatment in terms of age, the more likely you are to have a healthy baby. This is merely an advice. For more queries and assistance visit your gynecologist. I hope it helps.
Good luck and take care!
