My motherhad this done as well, it worked for her fingers crossed
Good luck, but the dye procedure does not remove true blocks in the tube. If you had scarring, for example, you would not make the scar tissue go away by pushing dye into the tube. All the dye procedure does is see if the tubes are open. There is some anecdotal chatroom commentary that it "cleans out the tubes," but not if there is a genuine block.
To blackbutterfly, see a specialist who knows how to do tubal reconstruction. He or she could basically cut out the blocked part of your tube and reconnect the parts that are still open, if any of them are.
I did the dye procedure and that's how he discovered my left tube was blocked. It was very uncomfortable and the longest 45 minutes ever. I had bad cramping during the procedure but maybe he just didn't know what he was doing. I wish you all the luck! Hope everything works out in your favor. And thanks for your advice! :)
Im not sure what its called but they push dye through your fallopian tubes to break away the blockage, it only takes about 30 mins, wish me luck on my way to dr to set it up. Good luck to you
Hi,
I have a blocked left tube and the other is open. I have seen my OBGYN abt this years ago. He act as if there was nothing that could be done abt the blocked tube. It's been 7 years now and I still have not gotten pregnant. I'm curious to know what the procedure is called so I my search for another doctor that could possiblely see if I could be a candidate for such a procedure.
Thanks! Wishing you all the best! :)
