Pelvic Pain

I am a 29yr old women that is not really sexually active. I do have sex several times a month. I recently switched from the Depo shoot to the pil. My question is that I had sex yesterday and this morning when I woke up I had pain on my lower left pelvic are. the pain feels like my baldder is about to fall out and I have the urge to pee all the time. The pain is constant but it does not hurt to urinate. What can it be?

Hi!
I would definitely recommend a trip to your doctor or walk-in clinic.  The most likely diagnosis under the circumstances is a bladder infection.  They could easily rule that out or treat it, and if you wait, you risk the possibility of it spreading upwards into your kidneys.  Other possibilities would include an infection of the fallopian tubes and ovaries (PID) but this would probably take longer to get symptomatic.  The colon is on the left side of the abdomen too, so it could also be GI related--constipation or diarrhea, etc.
The symptoms really sound like a UTI though, and you could be feeling much better with one dose of antibiotic, so head on in and get checked!
Good luck!

The pain that you feel in your lower left pelvic sounds like you a medical check to your fallopian tubes, ovaries, bladder and inside of the pelvis should be made.  Try to consult a doctor to get an advise on how to deal with the pelvic pain that you are experiencing.
